New mode: Delivery

Just a suggestion, you don't have to LOVE/HATE IT. Just please post ur opinion, let's not get off topic or troll.

Two sides, (GR AND BL).

BL has to deliver some sort of train, cart, anything to the GR base. This game mode would be just like TDM but with a SET reset time of 3 seconds. (No trolls putting it 10 seconds).

This cart or whatever u wana call it, can ONLY be moved by people near it, the more people near the cart, the quicker the cart moves. After a small duration of the cart not moving, perhaps 20 seconds or 10 seconds... the cart slowly starts moving backwards towards the BL base. Obviously, after the BL side has made it the entire route to the GR side, the sides are switched (just like escape mode) so that the new BL side (the GR's) Get a chance to beat the time!

If the developers would like, they could also implement 2 different cart routes. By pushing "E" against a switch (just like the M.M Mall map hitting the switch to lower the gate) you will be able to change the track route for the cart. Going LEFT or RIGHT.

The GR side has to do their best to kill all the people near the cart, (depending on what Z8 wants the cart size to be, big or small they could use it as cover, or quickly check the corners before pushing the cart again). If the GR side works together either hiding around corners or making rotations to preaim the cart, it will lead a challenge and lots of practice. This will not be a very EASY game mode, it will require lots of teamwork, no 1 person can "carry".

Just my suggestion, let me know if you like it or not.

This game mode must ONLY be for guns, not snipers only or knifing only, (wouldnt be fair for BL side).

This will start great teamwork with teams, and it will be a fun experience for everybody that will try it.

  • Was an inspiration from TF2? I think I recall an objective similar for Wolfenstein ET.

But no matter. The mode's name would be Delivery? Cool.
I think it sounds like fun. Hope it does bring up more teamwork.

How fast would the cart actually be with 1 person? And how much faster with another?

not sure, about walking speed or crouchin speed? Perhaps a little slower, all depends on tje size of the maps.

    Bump.
  • tf2 inspiration.

But it is a good inspiration.
  • Hey I like Wolfenstein. Would be nice to see more teamwork in CF. And a concrete objective.
  • Nice idea.

Hope to see a mode like this implemented one day.
  • Thanks guys, keep the comments coming, BUMP.
  • This is a wonderful idea!

Post Scriptum (P.S.): I didn't even read the post, only the title but +1 on this. xD
  • I like the idea and I would like to play it but I guess it wont work in public rooms.

First off all there are too many noobs. Many people can't understand a single english word. Others don't read the rules. I still see many people who can't defuse the bomb or don't know what to do with the bomb at all.

Now imagine you are playing with those guys, they run away without picking up the crap that needs to be delivered.

Noobs are not the only problem, pros are stupid too.

Some pros just don't play in teams, they always walk alone and if they see you following them they change the direction. You try to plant the bomb and think that guy is gonna cover you but nope he runs away.

TF2 is a funny game and people who play tf2 play better in teams.

I'd think all it's gonna take is a little bit of practice. As they play it more and more, they will start to realize what the goal of the mode is to do. Just like escape mode, ofc there are people who don't rush and stuff, but... as these "noobs" go up and kill others, it will kinda help the team by eliminating the opponents to stop shooting you, the person pushing the cart.

    Practice.

Perfect, but there would have to be different spawn points, or stages throughout the game, where they keep switching and the GR ones keep moving back.
  • Bump again!

Do you play another other game with a mode like this? There are 2-3 stages, and the GR base is originally 1/3 of the way throughout the map. Every time the vechicle rools past a checkpoint, the GR bas moves back 13 of the length of the map and the BL base moves up 1/3 of the lenght of the map (and is essentially swapped with the GR base).
  • More interative map features. Doors, gates, or whatever.

The maps would have to be extremely big, but yes TF2 is similar to what you're saying.

Its all up to the developers if they want swapping bases, or to keep it simple. Thanks for the suggestion.

Bump because I would like to know your opinions. I forgot about this thread.

Yes it's similar to TF2, although.... SND is the same in every other game, so why not?

I actually like this. Would be fun I guess :)
  • You got this from Team Fortress 2, didn't you? ;)

Yes, but as we are not allowed to discuss other games on the forums, I did not mention it in the thread.

This is basically Payload in TF2, which I find to be the most fun in that game.
  • people still make suggestions eh.. will never happen. I have never seen a suggestion come true.

I'm impressed. Z8 forbade a lot of teamwork-based modes and now you like it. What's the reason for this change of opinion?

How did they forbit it? Elaborate pls.

I'm talking about that "Already suggested ages ago and don't make threads about them, because we heard you and we don't want them" modes list.

That still doesn't mean that they forbid these kind of modes.. It's just to prevent people from spaming the forums with ideas of these modes.. ZM is kinda teamwork-based too and used to be on that list so far as I recall, therefore just because these modes are on that list it doesn't mean that they're never going to be added..

  • Meh, it seems like it would be a mode that will be forgotten within a few months.

Not to mention hundreds of "noobs" will have no idea how to play the game and ruin it for everyone.
