We are looking for some additional feedback on our CF downloader. We want to know about your experiences using the downloader and patching Cross Fire!
Things that we are looking for:
Where are you located and how long does it normally take to download CF?
When a new patch comes in do you find it easier to patch or to download the client again via the downloader?
Are you looking for the CF LA version of the game?
Other reasons in which you might start the downloader but then cancel the download halfway in between.
Please note, this thread is not made to get feedback on game or client errors. This is strictly using the downloader for Cross Fire. We are looking at a few of our numbers and seeing some interesting patterns and habits and are working to alter and change things to improve the process for everyone!
Your feedback is appreciated!
Thanks -
I live in Illinois, US
My Download Speed is typically 600kb~1mb/s which is relatively high.
CF LA should have a downloader itself after all, it's a pain in the rear to keep an internet browser up while the program (may) have memory leaks.
As for feedback, I was wondering as an alternative to have a mirror be the original installer since the downloader seems to bug out for me -
Where are you located and how long does it normally take to download CF?
INDIA, its takes 20-30 min to download CF
When a new patch comes in do you find it easier to patch or to download the client again via the downloader?
yes, no problem
Are you looking for the CF LA version of the game?
IDK......... -

Thanks- I am located in Framingham, Massachusetts and it takes me anywhere from half an hour to an hour to download Cross Fire, depending on how busy my network is. It also takes around half an hour to 45 minutes to download the setup which contains the downloader.
- When a new patch comes in, yes I do find it easier to patch rather than redownloading the client via the downloader. Also, I greatly appreciate the function/method that has been built into the Launcher to automatically download the patch (thank you Z8/G4Box Team ).
- No, I am not looking for the CF LA version of the game (although I do have it and it is fun to play, also).
- The only other reason that I would start the downloader but then cancel the download halfway in between would be if I unexpectedly started the downloader while my brother was playing/recording a game. Even so, I would start up the downloader again after consulting with him and making sure he was not in a game.

- Patch
Are you looking for the CF LA version of the game?

Other reasons in which you might start the downloader but then cancel the download halfway in between.
- Download errors due to connection errors/disconnection. Sometimes it will freeze at 100% of downloading something and stay there, but when I restart the file is already done... -
