I would recommend Razer Charcharias: they have really good sound quality for 2.1 games. It is not "true 5.1 surround sound" but will support make it "virtual 5.1"
The Mic is highly sensitive which can be adjusted through your motherboard or soundcard.
These headsets do come with an "in-line" volume and mic on/off controlling pod.
The cable is threaded which is nice and the padding is extremely comfortably-good for extended ours of gaming.
The only thing I find wrong with these headsets is that they are a little to large and the Sound leaks too much because their is so much cotton padding on it.
Very nice headsets-I recommend it and falls in t at about 80$ -
astro, sennheiser, steelseries, and turtle beach make the best headsets for both gaming and non-gaming use. i have two steelseries headsets and they are amazing, but there a different sennheiser hd versions that are much better. make sure it fully encloses your ear, is made of something like leather for comfort and cleanliness, and probably some noise reduction so you dont annoy people while also having your microphone pick up cleaner noise.

I've traveled on planes and cars with mine, it's been across state lines and been used and abused for close to a year. Still going strong. I'd choose either sennheiser or steelseries on any given day. -

i have them and i hear everything, this guy just doesnt know how to use sound or he is just pretty stupid, or hes too poor to afford a good sound card. I have the USB version tho, with the 7.1 sound card, its pretty good. -
Ok so I brought a new mouse 2 weeks ago, SteelSeries Sensei.
now im thinking of getting a new headset seeing as i have the money to burn for it so.
price range £30-£80. roughly around $42-$92 dollars if im estimating right 0.o
any ways yeah if someone can help me buy a decent headset or simply list decent ones then that would be great.
my current headsets fine but pinpointing long range sound like say if im mid and I hear a gun click towards GR spawn on black widow the sound I heard ends up being behind me then I die because of it, but this happens to me in battlefield 3 & CSS to. Its what I get for having a cheap headset I guess.
anyway yeah any help would be greatly appreciated.
