Looking to buy a gaming headset.

Ok so I brought a new mouse 2 weeks ago, SteelSeries Sensei.

now im thinking of getting a new headset seeing as i have the money to burn for it so.

price range £30-£80. roughly around $42-$92 dollars if im estimating right 0.o

any ways yeah if someone can help me buy a decent headset or simply list decent ones then that would be great.

my current headsets fine but pinpointing long range sound like say if im mid and I hear a gun click towards GR spawn on black widow the sound I heard ends up being behind me then I die because of it, but this happens to me in battlefield 3 & CSS to. Its what I get for having a cheap headset I guess.

anyway yeah any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just buy a quality pair of headphones, and then get a clip on mic. But yeah, its better to buy something that will last for more then a handful of months.

idk about being set for life but your logic is sound to an extent so hmm maybe. id only have to wait another 2 weeks. if i did that is.

I was actually thinking about the clip on mic idea but i have a habbit of breaking things like that lol.

Sennheiser has a great warranty. My pair from 2006 still sound amazing. I don't use them anymore, because I upgraded to an even better pair of headphones last year.

My v2's recently started to sound f**ked up. Other than that they are a decent headset. Doop's recommendation is a lot better though. I need to get a new pair of these now though :S

yeah my old headset from like a year ago did that got it for like £40 was like sponsored by this source player or something lol but yeah did the same so yeah maybe it is worth spending 180. would be around 170 for me though lol pounds FTW!.

but yeah trying to decide is hell, next on the list after my headset, decent network card.

Don't get a serbia V2. They are good at first. however they break easily and after a month or two become useless.

I can more than likely order the headset doop mentioned on Sunday Wednesday at the latest. if it was just CF that i had the problem in i probably wouldn't even bother buying a new headset but I play other games to so.

will, if i play 1vs1 crossroads i can tell which gun they pick up and what side there on. so like top A at port almost down to long A, but there as good as your going to get with a headset that doesnt have 7.1 surround, but 7.1 isnt supported in cf.
and for music etc there pretty decent, bass levels are nice and quality is faultless.

ohh and off amazon.co.uk the pc 350's are like £100 - 120

Just so you know I fixed the issue with my v2's Although the plantronics that destn recommended i heard are also very good.

Go for the sennheiser or siberia v2s
Kioken made me get v2s, panda got them for christmas, pretty damn good headset
