Need a pc wizard.
so, i'm buying a pc tomorrow, and i think i found a cheap one that should be able to run crossfire @ 150 fps in a 5v5. But im not sure,
Please note, all this is for is crossfire and a pc to record my music on.
if someone can get me better my price range is no more then 420$
Really just need something that can run cf good in a 5v5, and not be slow in protools or sony vegas.
this is the one im looking at.

Will this get me 150 fps and not lag in protools?
This isnt ment to be playing games like COD or something lol.
Yeah you'll be fine with it for CF... Not sure how well youll keep a good 100+ FPS bt youll be fine with it.
You might be able to record well... but it is only a dual core... you might be pushing it. -

Honestly might not record as much as i planned(if you're talking about fraps), Protools actually works pretty flawlessly on this horrid pc im on now..(music recording)
Really just wanting someone to give me a good estimate for fps i could get, even on 8 by 6. -

Hard to say really... unless someone else on here has the same setup. Youll get good fps. No doubt... just dont have an exact estimate :Pamd phenom(tm) ll X2 560 processor
Phenom is better. That will be why -

So is it safe to say, On 8 by 6, everything on low, i should be able to run CF smoothly no problem, correct?
honestly, i can get a new g card, thats not a problem. The only reason i need a new pc is because this pc doesnt have a pci slot, rofl. And im building a studio in my basement. -

Easily. Even on higher res'
Lmao seriously? xD
Haha fair enoughyou should be able to yeah but if i was you i would by at least a 60-80 dollar video card it actually does help a little bit in cf.
Wouldnt be worth it for CF. Its CPU intensive rather than graphically. -

yeah but see i bought a 45 dollar graphic card which was better thin my on board video and it boosted my fps by 40 to 50
Well obviously.. you had integrated graphics... it was sharing your RAM.
Using a dedicated card will obviously have the system run better. -
If you don't upgrade the video card on it, you should get a good 100 fps constant. If you do upgrade it, you'll probably get close to 200.
What part of "CPU intensive" did you not understand? Its not exactly a hard game to run graphically speaking. -
i have a AMD Phenom II X2 555 3.2GHz AM3 Dual Core 6MB Cache with a Asus M4A88T-M AMD 880G Hybrid CrossFireX Audio Video HDMI GB LAN and a HD radeon 5470 i ran about 300 in 8v8's and 5v5s about 325. and i paid abotu 348 for it plus windows. i already had my card harddrive and cdrom so it took off about 250. but i spent about 700 bucks on my comp.

and dont buy a dell nerd dells are for downys. and will last 2 years for gaming... fried my whole comp. and my other dell lasted like 6 but i didnt game on it.....
Calm down, I don't need a 700 dollar pc, I need something that will get me 150 fps, And im still better than 97% of the people who play this game with massive gaming rigs while i sit here playing with 40-60 fps -

The PC he's looking at has a dual core processor.BROimERICK wrote: »Update, Im getting the same pc, but from somewhere else and it has a AMD Radeon™ HD 6450 1GB DDR3 instead of a 4200 How much better is it?
If you got that video card you'd be able to play a lot of other games besides CF. It's much better than a 4200. -

Well observed. CF only uses 2 cores.
Obviously. Hes already said he isnt interested in other games.
