If you build one you can make a really good pc for around $600
I guess ill just mess with some stuff when I get home and see what it will cost. Is it better to have a good processor or graphics? -
thanks.

for CF?
processor by far.
If you're going for an all around gaming PC add an extra $100 to make it 700 and get a good graphics card as well, still better than any pre-built deal -
i'm actually looking into this myself. never built one; always ended up buying the somewhat expensive pre-built comps. like the one i'm using atm is a 3.0 ghz processor with geforce 8600 that i bought 4 years ago for 1.5k(was on sale too).
actually thinking of trying to build one this time around. would i come across an issue of one hardware not working well with others, etc? All this time i thought it was a bit more complicated than just buying random parts and inserting them in the right compartment but i see 12 year olds do it so i'm assuming it's not the case. -
I was looking in to building one, but I found an amazing deal during cyber monday/black friday and just bout the pre-built. Gotta says its amazing. I wouldn't turn away from a good deal on a pre-build build.
i'm planning on waiting after christmas so hopefully they will have some nice deals -

Yeah, I think they'll have deals after Christmas. Not sure tho, but I paid like 450 /no shipping and I run crossfire 250-300 fps. I can record, broadcast and everything. LOVEIT:) -

Yeah but you can almost always buy the parts individually and put them together yourself for cheaper. It's not really a hard process you just have to make sure everything matches. The only pre-builts I would recommend are iBuyPower/CyberpowerPC -

Oh I'm sure they're cheaper in most cases. I'm just saying you can find a good deal.
I got an iBuyPower pre-built. -

i used to get that fps in 5vs5. like 600 in 1vs1s lol. too bad my power supply has been failing since last year. takes like 3 tries to turn it on and my comp has stopped sensing my graphics card so i get like 40 fps now cf is still playable though. that's pretty amazing for 450; do you by any chance still have a link to it? -

I tried looking for it, but I don't see it. I think it was just a black Friday sale.
My old computer would only get like 100 in 5v5, and my power supply was failing and my fan was br0ke lOl.

If you are going to buy a special CPU cooler instead of using the boxed cooler then it is possible that there is not enough space on your mainboard or in your case. But normally the boxed cooler does its job.
When you are going to buy an extremely (really extremely!) cheap power supply then it is possible that you cannot use certain graphics cards. But you shouldn't try to save too much money on the wrong end
The assembling is a little tricky when you are no native English speaker and only got English manuals. But you dont't have this problem or? -

If you were really serious, I would invest in a sound card and some senhiesers. That should bring that up to a ~800 $ build.
it says 3.3ghz(3.7ghz turbo boost)? what's a turbo boost -

Unfortunately, every computer they have on there within his budget is utter trash.
Putting an i5 2500k with a 520 GTS is a huge bottleneck on his system.
I'll find something for you later, heading off to bed, 5am men.
