WCG CF 2012-2013, a good possibility
I just got word that the next WCG is going to be hosted in China
This bodes well for Crossfire, as we all know Crossfire is extremely competitive in Kunshan China and more likely to be voted into competition at the event:
http://eseanews.com/index.php?s=news&d=comments&id=10409
Its early to say anything but when the time comes, it would be best to get everyone to put there votes in for this event as we all know that games are placed into the mix via player vote...
I know a few people who would like a second chance at getting to this event so lets band together and make this happen when the time comes..
Ill keep you all posted as to what I hear and good luck to the teams heading over there this year...
If all the stars aline I would appreciate Crossfire NA's support in getting us into the event, WOGL didnt do a very good job in peoples mass opinion but two times a charm
Lets see this through shall we?

CF is insanely popular in Korea and China, so I see a good possibility of it landing on the short list. We will have to see. Get your votes on there, every vote counts. -

but who says they'll send a team from NA if we don't win a game at LAN? lulz. -

Thanks for the support Polleus, could you perhaps get the inside scoop on whats going on with the NA side to see if we will be considering entering teams for this event again? -

They dont need to win a game to be asked back.. the popularity has to be there, and the support from the NA staff has to be there too
Winning means absolutely nothing -

I don't recall anyone from our region actually winning the last LAN at WEM. They placed and did very well, but they didn't win it all. They'll still invite regardless. -

exactly... I plastered this link for voting all over my facebook.. if you guys could do the same that will greatly increase the chances -

I have no inside scoop, haha. This event is far too off to have any kind of official chatter from G4Box about it. It's unfortunate, but that's how it is right now.exactly... I plastered this link for voting all over my facebook.. if you guys could do the same that will greatly increase the chances
I have done so already -

I'm all for keeping it real, but try and show some support regardless of your personal views. It's going to be tough enough for them to go in there without everyone's opinion that they are going to fail ringing in their minds. At least wish them good luck and say try your best, alright? I'm not saying butter them up and tell them they are going to win it all if you don't think that, but at least wish them good luck. It's common courtesy don't you think? -

If DWS could roll both of these teams pugging/minty constantly lagging and knifing people and me with a sh1t comp and of course bad raging and gandhi going rambo, none of these teams really have a chance. -

Encouraging people who have a huge gap in performance between their opponent is pointless...
I didn't say encourage them. I said show some common courtesy in wishing them good luck and leave the rest to yourself. Would you want to go into a LAN being told the whole way that you're going to fail? It's somewhat disrespectful. Regardless of the outcome, be it true or not, show some courtesy and wish them luck and whatever happens, happens.[MOD]Polleus wrote: »I'm not saying butter them up and tell them they are going to win it all if you don't think that, but at least wish them good luck.
I said this, specifically in regards to encouraging them. -

It's actually good to go into lans with people thinking you will fail. It gives you the dark horse/underdog approach. If people have 0 expectations of you, then you try that extra bit harder to make them eat their words. Although it doesn't mean that much since none of the teams know of eachother (for the most part).
Fallout has a great point though. FG / vVv have no one to really practice against. The majority of the skilled teams faded away post WCG, and I highly doubt they are playing eachother. The map pool being so limited (ankara, eagle eye, black widow, and mexico) doesn't help to much either. The quality of teams just isn't there in our version, not much else to it. -
I'm still mad as hell with how WOGL treated the WCG qualifiers for this year and how no one in z8games or any of the CF publishers gave a ****.
Hard for me to wish good things for this game when the people running it don't care enough to intervene in the face of blatant injustice. -

Mhmm, you see China Crossfire sponsored by razer and actually have lans for league finals. Here, its all about stupid COD and HALO. -

if I had to guess, part of the reason why wogl is now dead is because of how they handled WCG... they didnt tell me exactly why or what reason but apparently it was hinted when they talked to Wenzz
As for teams that can warm these 2 up.. I'm forming up a really good strong group of Canadians for next years wcg should it happen, I'm sure if we get our **** together soon we can work with either team and give them more then a run for there money (dont wanna mention any names yet as nothing is set in stone, just a hint though they all come from esea invite)
