Research: Map Rotation Options

  • I suppose that my gaming style usually revolves around as many maps as I can, there really isn’t much preference. But on the other hand I do enjoy a S&D to a map that I’m decently aware of, such as Eagle Eyes or Black Widow.

You say around 5 maps for a Small Map Rotation. Well, an obvious pro would be the usage of the most common, most known maps, which leads to the most epic competitions between teams or players. An obvious con is that THAT. It is so well known that we as spectators might start passing judgment on how WE would’ve done this or that.

With a Large Map Rotation, a great entertaining factor is the unknown and how the player or team will be able to adapt to win on that particular map. Because it can be played on lesser-known maps, you might see a little more Shift+Walking, more stealth in their tactics, more suspenseful gaming.

In the end, I look at it as:

Do I want to see a CoD playstyle, where it’s a run and gun, and constant communication on whereabouts of players and objectives? (Small Map Rotation)

Or do I want to see a more of a quiet game play where time is not rushed, and where the best kills are the unexpected ones. Yes there might be camping a little more involved, but at the same time I do enjoy the suspenseful game play of great players or even teammates to pull off an awesome epic clutch!

    Ending decision: Large Map Rotation
