Research: Map Rotation Options
Doing a little curious research into what the community looks for in terms of a round-robin season map rotation. I've got two options for you to select and discuss from:
Option 1: Small Map Rotation (5 maps)

Option 1: Small Map Rotation (5 maps)
- Less variety
- Some maps could be played more than once
- Small selection means more time to practice every map, more chance to perfect your strats and anti-strats on each map.
- More variety - Especially come Playoff time
- Might see less maps played over again
- Large selection means less time to prepare for each map, less chance to have more intricate strats for each map, less predictability especially come Playoff time.

Compound
Castle
Eagle Eyes
Santoria
Ankara
pretty sure you're trying to troll, but imo, you listed two of the maps with the best competitive potential.

talked to you on xfire about this. it depends how many people sign up and how many games are going to be played in the regular season. if i were running things, it'd look something like:
16 teams per division, 8 regular season games, 4 maps (each played 2x)
as for map rotation, there's 3 maps that are far ahead the rest as far as competitive gameplay goes. those maps are: black widow, ankara, and santoria. those 3 maps would definitely be in my map rotation. the 4th map is a tough call, i'd probably give it to the mine.

Small maps makes things a lot less complicated, and arguably more competitive, as many teams will think of more diverse strategies without the hassle of learning to many maps.. I think 7-8 maps would be better however 5 is simply too few

Mexico is buggy and honestly it is random... If I get a good spawn I can win the round for my team... if I get a bad spawn against a good team I might get 1 frag if im lucky...
id also want to see boosting added to competitive play... theres no reason why it shouldnt be allowed... just confine boosting to 1 person boosts (1 person on to another after that boost if theres 2 people boosted on that position they cant boost again, if they do they get disqualified, this is to prevent map outs)
If you make the rotation smaller boosting is a nessesity -
It really depends on what league you are doing. If it's something like WOGL, you can do top 5 competitive maps in regular season and let teams pick their own maps weather they do a map they have practised a lot or a map they think the other team hasn't ever played together (Castle, Compount etc).
If you are doing a elimination type league, then prolly best to include most played maps. -

Compound is good I think Ankara is more competitve imo, I think u mean compound ? -
