'Echo, Channel 8' was brung up as a competitive channel for competitive players with strict rulings, which were mainly WOGL Rule Matches. If you are going into an 'Echo 8' channel and entering a Search & Destroy Game and find that most are North American, by the known likes they are using WOGL Rules such as weapons, characters, etc. If you use something against the rules, then obviously they don't want you there. If you don't want to be kicked, then obviously you should change your aspects and play the way 'Echo 8' was DEVELOPED by the Community. -

Not it wasn't. Anyone who thinks there is any aspect of a "pub community" within E8 is stupid.
Bravo 8/10 and now Echo 8 was a channel people scrimmed in. It was never developed as a place to pub without dumb ****, low level competitive players only think it is. -

Echo 8 was never located for pubbing, it was community-declared meeting place as an easier alternative for teams to find scrims, rather than spamming '5' to each others' XFire.
Pubs have no rules, it's just that some of the people playing there now have taken the purpose of E8 way out of context. -
it was made as an easier alternative for teams to meet and scrim, rather than spamming '5' to each others' XFire.
No, it developed into that after there were enough active teams to make that a more effective option than spamming. Originally B8/10 were just the default channel to make scrim rooms in. -

Yes, I would have to agree with you on that. Echo 8's a WOGL rules based server IMO. -

Exactly, the easier alternative once more teams had been established and not necessarily having contact within each other.
That's what I'm getting at, but as I said, it's been taken way out of context since. -

I never said it was a set channel, it was developed when WOGL picked up CrossFire. -

You implied Echo 8 pubs follow strict guidelines, and that the channel was developed with the purpose of following those guidelines, but it wasn't.
It was there way before then. -

I never once said 'THEY HAVE TO'. I am implying that Echo 8 has developed mostly from WOGL Rules as they tend to use them then anything they want. Even now, if you go into an Echo 8 Channel and use a ZP gun - you will get called out on it, and most likely kicked. It's something that they adapted to competitive-wise, I was just simplying saying that if you don't play with the rules they 'want to use' then you will most likely get kicked - and of course the channel is now used to find frequent, and quick scrims. -

I don't personally use ZP guns or armour, I'm one of the sane people who see them for what they are, useless. I wouldn't appreciate someone using them in a scrim, but I couldn't care less if someone uses either in an E8 pub.
The scrims follow guidelines, the pubs shouldn't. -

That I agree with you. As going into other channels such as Alpha or Bravo, they all consist of laggers. Echo 8 has the main aspects of low pingers, so why not use any gun.
But yep. #agreed. -
