i'm still into the stereotype where if the neighborhood is black; stay away. lol there is like not one black person in the brighton beach/sheepshead bay area except for those that go to lincoln hs or sheepshead bay hs but that's not near where i live
and you can laugh all you want but the truth is jamaica is not safe if you compare it to the city or lower brooklyn. my college is on utopia parkway and we've had maybe about 4-5 instances in the past year and a half of college students being robbed/beat so i could only imagine how many more are not of st.john's. maybe that's why i've never been robbed before. I don't hang around such bad neighborhoods

I'm in Kew Gardens/Jamaica; Two blocks FROM Parsons; SHORT distance from Jamaica Ave. And I wouldn't get too ahead of yourself though....Coney Island is pretty nasty anymore. Brooklyn, Most of it is bad due to the fact of poor people that think they have no where else to turn so they go black (ghetto/gang life) and never go back. EX: Bushwick, Flatbush, Broadway-Junction, The Projects. The only good part of Brooklyn is the Jewish part.
Jamaica, Most of Jamaica is pretty bad. Jamaica Estates is the only place that's safe due to rich people being there. The Guyanese and Trini ppl are always having late-night races and always partying and getting drunk. The brack people always gang bang out in the streets. Especially on the ave( Jamaica Ave from 170st to Parson Blvd) But the most horrible place is South Side Jamaica. All you see is boarded up windows, people gang banging and selling bud on the street. Gun shots ever night.
Bronx, idk much about Bronx since that's a walk for me. But from ppl that i know they tell me that most of Bronx is bad and that it is mostly occupied by Latinos who are in the Latin Kings gang.
Flushing is Azn Town so your're safe there.
Harlem, just like Bronx idk. But the last time i went there some guy got shot in front of my uncles car.

Brooklyn is a majority Greek, Jewish and Czech now. It's only 8% black, and it's all in one area; Bushwick; Right across the Jackie Robinson from me. It was PROVEN in a recent stimulus/almanac of Brooklyn; Also documented on Pix. Brooklyn is also the 2nd most expensive and highest living Borough behind Manhattan and before Staten Island. As stated, the 'lower income' is mainly in one small square. Of coarse you have your Bedstuy's, your Brownsvilles and your Heights, but they've all gotten cleaner and better.
Jamaica; As stated, I'm right here....I'm just a few short blocks from South Jamaica, colliseum (as the ppl who REALLY live here know it and call it). It's more Mexicans than black. And BEFORE you call them black, you'll KNOW that they're actually JAMAICAN...and Haitian. I've seen more boarded up businesses than houses here, just throwing that out there. And I drive it, and walk it every day. My barber is in the heart of it. Since buying this house here in July, I've not heard ONE gun shot. And like I said, I'm just a few short blocks from the "dangerous area".

Harlem is nice, except for Murda Heights [Washington Heights]. That's EASILY the most dangerous part of NYC. They shutdown blocks there every night. Police on every corner. You name it.
And lastly; Flushings is NOT 'Azn Town'. The outskirts of Flushings is predominantly Asian, near Great Neck. Although it DOES have a high number of Asians. The Greeks and the Jews RUN Flushings; Mix in a good number of Indians.
I leave it all at perception and how your raised. I'm out here. I live here. I walk it. I breathe it. I've done it. I can put my bank on the statement that ANYONE can walk in any of these areas at night; Given you don't act like an idiot and draw unwanted attention. Disrespect a person, a being, a culture and of coarse you'll get run up on. But follow your own coarse and your fine...People aren't out there beating people up, robbing people, or killing for no reason. There's either business or reason. That's the law of those people. You have a higher chance of being ****d or felt up by the men on the loose in Brooklyn right now than being robbed or killed without warrant.
25 years I've watched NY grow and change. And TRUST ME. I could stamp your opinion if we were living in the mid 90's-2002. But it's 2011...You've got more people looking for jobs now than killing people. New York is at it's lowest crime rate since the 80's. And the 80's is when the mob ran NY... So WELCOME SNSD. And don't sweat a thing. Nobody is going to sweat you. But if I could give you a piece of advice, a tip per se; DON'T stare at people on the train! It's just f%cking weird. -
Not exactly sure what you were implying by "coney island is pretty nasty anymore" but i'm assuming you're saying it's nasty... coney island is somewhat nasty, i would agree, but coney island isn't brighton beach. coney island/stillwell avenue is a good 30-40 blocks from me. brighton beach is basically all russians haha. the most dangerous thing that happens there is probably when some old man cheats in dominoes on the 2nd brighton park and they start fighting lmao. I live like 4 blocks away from the sheepshead bay train station along the Q/B route. I've been living here for 6 years and the only incidence that I recall is some man's car being burned by a few mexicans(probably because he didn't pay them for the construction or something. I have no idea).
Regardless tae and fany are heading to madison square garden. There is nothing "dangerous" about that area so he shouldn't have a problem. -

It seems so since you are talking about a stimulis/w/e you want to call it. From what i know, Bushwick is not the only place that is filled with African American/Jamaican people. Brownsville, Coney Island, FlatBush, and especially East New York. My cousin has been working in BK for 10 years and he still tells me that most of BK is filled with brack people. It's filled with Greeks? HA! I haven't seen many greeks in BK.
