Advice for you tour, as long as you stay in Mid-Manhattan you won't have a problem. Don't go uptown Manhattan that were Harlem is. Don't goto Brooklyn unless you wanna get shot or robbed. Don't goto Jamaica, Queens unless you wanna get robbed or shot. Don't goto Bronx unless you wanna get shot or robbed. Don't go to Chinatown unless you wanna get robbed or shot. GL.

  • What part of Jersey are you staying in? Weekends are typically rough for me...and I TRULY hate going into Manhattan, esp. amidst the annoyances they call Midtown; Tourist pool. But I may be open to something...Maybe Dave & Busters? Are you driving or using Metro?

i would have chilled with you guys if it were next week but i'm seeing a girl right now and studying for next weeks exams on the weekend(took a day off from work)

just try to stay away from flatbush, harlem, canarsie, church avenue, jamaica and bronx in general lol
  • i don't blame any of you that are saying New York blows as none of you have any wealth to enjoy New York.

Why do I have a feeling you DO NOT live in NY? haha Flatbush is fine...Rockaway [Canarsie] hasn't been rough since the 90's, Church Avenue [haha?], Jamaica? I live 3 blocks from a point of Jamaica. Harlem? Too much rap music....Harlem is HELLA clean. There's only one rough spot in Harlem, and that UPTOWN, Murda Heights aka. Washington Heights. And the Bronx? I don't know WHERE you live man, but turn off the rap music. NY is not as bad as your making it out to be.

WTF are YOU talking about? 10% of commercial NY is high priced. The majority of NY is affordable for our rate of living you stupid f%ck. Maybe Canada needs to up their rate of living? But people in New York can AFFORD New York.

We are going to use Metro and bus. We live around Wallst NJ, at east boulevard.

You are completely ignoring the fact just because it's affordable doesn't mean it doesn't blow. Hell Mexico is affordable for just about anything. Doesn't mean it stops it from blowing. There are things more open to rich people (such as myself) than to you peasants, sure you can enjoy your 2 dollar slice of pizza (very affordable) while I eat at Per Se (French cuisine). Sure you can get a nosebleed seat at a yankee's game for $30-$40 while I sit in my suite. Also YAY for public transportation, sitting and waiting just to go to your grooling job. While I enjoy sitting in the back of my Mercedes Benz s 500 being driven by my chauffeur.

lol? This is myawm btw... I have lived around lower brooklyn for 15 years now. I work in Manhattan and go to college in queens. I've been around and noticed things. What's wrong with flatbush? you obviously don't know that the junction is a popular place for gangs and recently there was a shooting by the mcdonalds(near brooklyn college) I also graduated from midwood high school which is fairly close to the junction and the cops were always around there and not letting us eat on the junction during lunch time due to gang activity in that area. idk i've never been to canarsie myself but people tell me it's not a nice area. church avenue you always have some thugs walking around and not to bring out the stereotype but if you're ever on the train going from manhattan and your train is filled with african americans/mexicans... 3/4 of the train will exit on church avenue. says a lot lol. also someone i knew from my school got robbed by 3 guys on church but that happens anywhere tbh. Bronx just has some bad neighborhoods that I've never been to myself since i rarely even go to the bronx. And jamaica is a really bad neighborhood lmao. Idk what you're talking about. my college always writes us emails on how people were robbed/beat around campus which is close to jamaica. Also i have friends that live by like main street so they know queens well and tell me all about it

oh and ny is definitely affordable but quite expensive compared to nj, etc. I mean you can buy a 3 bedroom home in a nice community with a pool for like $700,000 in nj while in ny that same amount of money could probably only get you a 2-bedroom depending on where you live obviously

Haha. That's all I can say about that...I'll call that bluff. Enjoy that Huffy and riding shotgun in your moms minivan! Kick rocks.

I'm just gonna laugh at that whole statement. I live RIGHT NEXT to Main Street [one block off]. Your friend must not get out of the house or raised to be ignorant. Just because it's [Jamaica] all. Lack, middle eastern and West Indian ppl, DOESN'T make it a less safe area. Jamaica Hills has multi million dollar homes. There's more issues in Brooklyn than Queens anymore. Lower income living DOESN'T = Dangerous areas.

lol my friend is a party guy. he's always out. you might even know him. daniel kikirov? he's 19 though. he's pretty short but has like an 8 pack lol

i'm still into the stereotype where if the neighborhood is black; stay away. lol there is like not one black person in the brighton beach/sheepshead bay area except for those that go to lincoln hs or sheepshead bay hs but that's not near where i live :) and you can laugh all you want but the truth is jamaica is not safe if you compare it to the city or lower brooklyn. my college is on utopia parkway and we've had maybe about 4-5 instances in the past year and a half of college students being robbed/beat so i could only imagine how many more are not of st.john's. maybe that's why i've never been robbed before. I don't hang around such bad neighborhoods :)
  • @Bobby

Brooklyn, Most of it is bad due to the fact of poor people that think they have no where else to turn so they go black (ghetto/gang life) and never go back. EX: Bushwick, Flatbush, Broadway-Junction, The Projects. The only good part of Brooklyn is the Jewish part.

Jamaica, Most of Jamaica is pretty bad. Jamaica Estates is the only place that's safe due to rich people being there. The Guyanese and Trini ppl are always having late-night races and always partying and getting drunk. The brack people always gang bang out in the streets. Especially on the ave( Jamaica Ave from 170st to Parson Blvd) But the most horrible place is South Side Jamaica. All you see is boarded up windows, people gang banging and selling bud on the street. Gun shots ever night.

Bronx, idk much about Bronx since that's a walk for me. But from ppl that i know they tell me that most of Bronx is bad and that it is mostly occupied by Latinos who are in the Latin Kings gang.

Flushing is Azn Town so your're safe there.

Harlem, just like Bronx idk. But the last time i went there some guy got shot in front of my uncles car.

So B0BBY, i agree with MYAWM. Lol?

EDIT: FYI, I live in Jamaica. I go to Martin Van Buren HS. So i know alot about Jamaica.
