whenever we made mistakes we just counted on drew clutching the round, and for the most part he always did -

If this doesn't change, this game will always be stuck at pubstar-mode.
And inevitably die.
(Not really bringing anything new to the discussion, just wanted to cry about changing guns) -

Well yeah, the game needs to change, but less content and more fixes would sit just fine with me. -

We currently have same really good players in the game but we need to get more competition, in my opinion Lan competitions so the team could really practice with some goal.
At least that is my opinion. -
Our client does not even have a lan option.
Even if it did, I can't think of any company that would sponsor a team to go to a lan event. It costs a lot of money to travel, let alone travel with a computer (as any event for this game would pretty much have to be BYOC) -
If I would like this to happen?
Yes.
If I think that this will happen in the near future?
No.
As Bruce already stated, CF is practically new. The lack of a competitive environment and the highly mature community makes it almost impossible. Yes we know that the asian versions of CF are in leagues, but they have been out for years, proving again Bruce's point. -

Cause, i bet all of u would like that CrossFire would get a larger and more mature community. -
I'm not saying that we make happen now, but try to make the game more mature and serious, so that we in the future could get close to the impact that CS and CSS has.

And what are your suggestions to make this community more mature?
It will be really hard since not a lot of players know how to speak or even type in english, I wonder how the hell they were able to create an account. -

And CF is
HUGE
in China. f2p games in Asia for some reason are monsters. America gave the world CS, Quake, and UT.
Oh yeah, I forgot that. You got me on that one:p
But not all foreigners speak Portuguese. -
I think this tournament was a great step for CrossFire GMs as well has the community.
Alot of players that were called hack, were recognize has good players.
I can talk about CrossFire Portuguese community(cause i'm PT). And i notice that they have evolve alot, to more serious clan, that start to practice more often, of course with limitations.
And i think if CrossFire went to lan, those teams will get more reason to practice more and more.
And I totally agree that currently the community doesn't have conditions to participate in events so important has WCG, or Intel Masters are, but I also think that we should make those smaller tournaments inside community(for my country we have XLParty). So that we could really evolve and grow our community. -

Without proper prizes, there will be no competition.
Bragging rights are kinda meaningless. People are material beings. This tournament handed out large sums of ZP and a golden gun to the winners.
But then you look at some OTHER games and they have...here match the list:
A. An all expenses paid trip to compete in Korea
B. Large cash prizes and corporate sponsorships and contracts to travel around the world and compete in LAN events.
C. A game that was in its first closed beta test and had a tournament. Winning players receiving a high end headset and an exclusive USB Flash Drive.
D. Counter Strike
E.AVA
F.KOS
CF offers in game points, that is not enough for people. I mean, I'm happy with some ZP, but at the end of the day I can't pawn that ZP for some extra spending money like I can do with that headset. -
I can talk, the case of Portugal and XL party, that is a Lan party that happen at least 3 times/year and that include, the big games, like CS;CSS;Trackmania;etc..
and that also includes new games if we have big community, of course that they don't give prizes like the ones for CS and Track(that are Gaming Laptops) but they would get an headset or a mouse. -

you think anybody would want to sponsor a game with 80% of girls running around? Everytime i watch the WCG video, i give up a little.
And things wrong with the tournament, The view were messed up and i just couldn't take it seriously -

I honestly hate the female models in this game. They look so out of place.
CS dosent have female models, and look how well that does.
"hopefully" z8 dosn't add moar version of female characters, or at least make SPOP bigger so people wont be tempted to buy.
Only if z8 kept their promise and made this game diffrent -

Oh, but CF is different.
The only f2p FPS that is 100% user financed.
Way to build a solid company.
(And fyi, we're getting at least one more skin for the SPOP) -
also if a big purse appears for crossfire it will seem lucrative for other tier2 teams in other games to switch to crossfire for the chance at big money. The game is not very hard to pickup and play if you have background in other fpses
I also think if a team with decent experience switches to cf and takes it seriously, no one in the crossfire community will be able to challenge them -
Quite interesting read hm shall I say?
This game will never be big. I could write a quick list as to why but quite frankly, it should be common sense. Watching the WCG videos is just too funny. Granted, if shown to established esports site, it will be laughed at.
For those who care;
Found a new game today. It's good. A true successor to 1.6 I'd say. However it is still a F2P. Axiom gaming will maybe reform with it's original roster in pre-vsgl for that game.
Good luck all and team sorry(if you keep playing, know it's disappointing to have lost to a lesser skilled team that have no strats either.. but Had a quick good run with you guys. Those practice here and there with originals strats may have been boring to do but they served well. All that trashed down by the terrfic hit registration we had. This new game I play, I have yet to encounter that problem.
Peace. -
