You still don't get it.
Developers patch when they want to patch. Not when GMs want to.
Probably they want to make Europeans try out the new version? Duh.
Then z8games should stand up and fight for their EU community and tell Smilegate that this is bs and that they're clearly trying to make the EU players quit this version. -
because you remember me coocker make a nice but Ecellent food or cacke then he forget some dust fall into it and he still forget and add more sweets on it and make it more buty but he see in the last more dust cover it
cacke is cross fire games and dust is hackers and sweet is updates and patches

I'm pretty sure the line:
There will be no new content.
Makes this pretty obvious tonight's maintenance is not for a patch.
We run routines that back up databases, restart servers and run optimizing tools on the servers on a monthly basis. This usually happens when we have a patch, which on average is about once per month.
Since it is fairly obvious at this point the next patch will not be in August, it's fairly safe to assume that we still intend on running these maintenance routines anyways. Which will require approximately 1 hour of everyone's time starting around 11:30 tonight.
The rest of the discussion in this thread is conspiracy theory. Patches come when they come, after they are developed and then tested and then finally implemented. The fact that there was no patch in August is not some sort of indication of a conspiracy against certain countries or regions of the world. -

I m patient and i know its all about developers when they will fix things or make everything ready for patching.
i know that was to long for keep us waiting for the patch but yea i m glad that finally we will get something new something good.I was there listening you on wogl interview 2 times that did quite maked me understand everything what are your jobs.

btw, never mentionned it (seemed pretty much like a spam thread to do so...) but my ping is now 39, I've always had 51minimum and my isp hasn't changed anything.
