Putting a silencer on M60/RPK any any Machine gun is like
Giving the manliest man on a planet filled with manly man that only desire to kill and fight the manliest man of any manly race a woman... it will make them weaker and lose there power there intimidation there SCREAM FOR BLOOD CHAOS AND KILLING

i will say -1 to this idea first m60 and rpk are MG not rifles.How can u possibly put a silencer in the mg? Just explain me that idea?
i mean it would be awsome to put on it but seriously i didnt see in my life that you can put on m60 silencer it would be so stupid to see it like that. -

subsonic ammo+suppressor = silenced MG -
you cant put on m60 silencer not possible. subsonic ammo? lol subsonic ammo doesnt kill the sound even if the silencer is on Mg.
barrel modifications will allow you to put the suppressor in, and the subsonic ammo doesn't kills the sound, but makes it a LOT quieter. -

Suppressed or Silenced, which ever works, or is realistic is the one that I am aiming for. M60-S would be a big deal considering the amount of bullets AND lower sound levels. PLUS, if it being awesome as it is, maybe a slight recoil reduction could do the trick? I know I love the M60 as it is, doing over 2.0 kdr in Eagle Eye, the recoil reduction would make me twice as good.

But I think the power decrease should be determined more on the volume of the weapon then the recoil to help give the opposing team a better chance to blow his cover when attacked. -

MG's are supposed to be loud and intimidating...as if hurling several hundred RPM of rifle ammo down at your face wasn't enough.
You don't see Spec ops soldiers carrying silenced M249's do you?Actually, yes I do. Paratroopers in particular us suppressed M249 SAWs
You've got your logic backwards. Guns are not made for a suppressor, but a suppressor is made for a gun. That means that ANY gun can have a custom-made suppressor for it. No matter how loud or how big that gun is, that gun only needs 3 things.
1. A threaded barrel for a suppressor to be screwed on. Now most rifles already have a threaded barrel, because the flash hider gets screwed on in a similar fashion.
2. A custom made suppressor. One that is fit to fire the required caliber.
3. Subsonic ammo. Without this lower velocity ammo, your suppressor would be pretty much useless.
