Deleting trainee accounts/inactive after 1 year
Honestly, I'm getting annoyed buy seeing these trainees with original names but only played 1-5 matches and last played 1-2 years ago.
Or even if someone wants to change their IGN from some random trainee that hasn't played in over a year.
For example; I want to change my IGN to 'Snipes' , but it's taken by this guy who only played 2 matches. I buy a namechange, I change my IGN to 'Snipes' , and whatever trainee had that IGN will be reseted. If that trainee just happens to log in at some point than they will have to make a new IGN for free.
It's just a more beneficial suggestion that many people like myself, would like.

Deleting their accounts would make the owner unhappy if he/she decides to use it again. Removing their names would make them unhappy too, but it would be more reasonable. Any account under Staff Sgt inactive for over 7 months, should have their ign removed.

Why do you think they'd be mad? they would quit for so long they wouldn't remember their account info. -
The price you pay for registering late and namechanging.
I got "dot" early, never changed - and its still mine.
But its just an IGN. Pick another one. Add a character..
It would be lots of unnecessary code to keep track of when the person played and renaming him.
He got it first, its his until he changes it. -

I got my name cause I watched some m700 vid that was made in open beta, the guy's IGN was 'snipes'
For some reason, last year, I searched up 'snipes' on the clanpage, and for some reason the name had a capital s, registered in 2010. -

i believe that these guys quit the game and if they ever think abt playing it again they usually make a new acc coz they forgot their user names and pass

Renaming them manually would require far too much effort to be efficient, and making an automatic system is time for the coders better spent elsewhere, especially since you can just pick a different IGN. -

I like the idea. I might change my IGN someday and a lot of the good names are taken by "one day players". They should send an email after so long, and if no one responds to keep the account active, they should remove it or allow the name to be taken by an active player. -

If you were smart you would know I'd take the IGN before anyone else.
P.S I don't actually want the IGN 'Snipes' because I'm comfortable with the dashes. But everytime I find a cool/unique word I want for a new account I search it up on the clanpage and what do you know it's a trainee with a negative KD with 1-5 matches played. -

Would go all down to timing then, as where you would try and take it a troll or other person might do the same. If such a system was implemented, it would still be first come first serve and you would be waiting a year or more if you missed it again. -

I know that, but with hundreds even tens of thousands of inactive accounts wiped there's alot of good IGNs that you can easily choose from. -

For some, not all. But ultimately I don't see such a pruning happening any time soon. As nice as it would be for some people. But also factor in... what about banned accounts or names?
