In this story we see the evolving role of Anonymous and gain some insight. As we move from the early days of 4chan through Chanology and the Anonymous awakening, step towards the 'Lulz' walking side by side with the 'Fight for Good', we see how this idea has grown to represent so much more.
"You've heard Anons say before that this is a war, a full scale information war. That's not mere propaganda, many regard that as a perfectly accurate description. And the stake at play is, simply, 'Who will control access to information, everyone or a small subset/the Government?' "
Some of the characters would seem an unlikely group to begin to change the world but at some point a spark lights up this collective idea and Anonymous is born. In this cyber-world of anonymity, alternate realities and leaderless armies, we can 'All' be Generals and the battle is just begun!
Part One.
"He was like a hacker Hermes, moving freely between the realms of the living and the dead"
Part Two.
Following the unfolding saga in the Internet Information War, the TPP is proving to be a can of worms.
"But TPP isn’t just bad for the Internet - it’s bad for everyone. Our
personal favorite: the roll back of the humanitarian exemption for
drug patents (generics). People are literally going to die of AIDS &
tuberculosis to protect Big Pharma’s profits."
Profits over People: the Trans Pacific Partnership
"Transparency is essential to the effective functioning of democracy.
Our votes mean nothing if our elected officials and unelected
bureaucrats can make back room deals without our knowledge. And far
too often, the mainstream media has played along, rather than
fulfilling its civic duty to report truth and hold the powerful
accountable."
We must act to end the Trans Pacific Partnership NOW. The negotiations
conclude on Friday.
If you care about freedom,
democracy or the very lives of the people on this planet, you’ll join
us to stop TPP before it’s too late.
We are all Anonymous.
"Anonymous activists have become terrifying to the powers that be, despite (or perhaps because of) their apparent disorganization and probably in excess of their actual capacity. "
How 'Anonymous' Went From Mischief Makers to a Force That Terrifies Corporations and Governments
"Over the past couple of years, as Anons became lulled—pun intended—into politics through their Scientology, Wikileaks, and Arab Spring operations, the lulz ethos has turned into a mode of movement-building. "
"The goal is to build the extra time into the ongoing cases so that it "won't look suspicious." While eight weeks is being requested, judicial delay for even six weeks should be enough for some unspecified but imminent action on the part of the New York FBI."
As "AnonymousIRC" put it on Twitter, "The #FBI might be curious how we're able to continuously read their internal comms for some time now. #OpInfiltration"
Forty-five people are listed on the leaked E-Mail advertising the "Anon-Lulz International Coordination Call,"
Update.
"In a piece of surreal real-life theatre, the tables were embarrassingly and dramatically turned. The investigators became the investigated; the watchers became the watched."
How did Anonymous hack the FBI?
"Anonymous isn't perfect but it serves as a banner that helps to create a point of unity among those who have had enough. Enough surveillance. Enough censorship. Enough lies. Enough war crimes. Enough cynicism. No movement is perfect but a lack of perfection does not invalidate the truth that Anonymous has uncovered or the positive actions that they have taken."
"Protest is when I say I don't like this and that. Resistance is when I see to it that things that I don't like no longer occur. Protest is when I say I will no longer go along with it. Resistance is when I see to it that no one else goes along with it anymore either."
"When they published the files there was a huge outcry against HB Gary for their obviously illegal activities and their partnerships with government agencies. When Anonymous performed a denial of service attack on PayPal in protest of them for cutting off Wikileaks, as the PayPal14 are accused to have done, we know that this is in the rich tradition of non-violent resistance in the face of abusive power. There is no permanent damage done, no servers harmed, no LOIC cannon operators pepper sprayed in their eyes."
""You think we're done? **** no," tweeted one of its most prominent hackers, Sabu, on Friday. "Truth is we're still in the agents (sic) mailbox right now."" -

We can already take out our own. Now we can do it like a Boss!

Anonymous And The War Over The Internet.Duke wrote:The Pirate Bay’s Peter Sunde: It’s Evolution, Stupid
"When I was 9 years old I got my first computer, an Amiga 500. It was the best computer ever built, with great graphics, amazing sound and seven times faster than the Commodore 64. One of my friends said that the Amiga was useless since you needed to boot it from floppies. On the C64 you could program without even a cassette."
"Instead of looking at evolution as something inevitable, the industry has made it their business to refuse and/or sue change, by any necessary means."

The internet is being controlled by a corrupt industry. We need to stop it.Duke wrote:Viewpoint: V for Vendetta and the rise of Anonymous.
On Saturday protests are planned across the world against Acta - the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement. The treaty has become the focus of activists associated with the Anonymous hacking network because of concerns that it could undermine internet privacy and aid censorship.
Ahead of the protests, the BBC asked V for Vendetta's writer, Alan Moore, for his thoughts -

In wake of online protests, Germany refuses to sign the ACTA anti-piracy treaty
'Germany, which had said it would follow along with the rest of the European Union in support of ACTA, (Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement), has decided not sign the treaty...
....Much like the response to SOPA in the United States, online activists in Europe have been able to generate vigorous pushback through petitions and blackouts of certain sites.'
:drinks:
As ACTA loses support in Europe, where a number of countries are putting the brakes on plans to ratify the controversial treaty, its opponents are planning new protests around the world.
The news just broke: Germany says it will not be signing ACTA for the time being.
Tomorrow, there are anti-ACTA rallies all over europe. This is one seriously impressive map of rallies:

Quote..
Absolutely killer! Please don't skip a second of this song. Great extended solo by Zappa, Chad Wackerman on drums looks like he's 13, a 21yo Steve Vai and a simply amazing vocal performances by Ray White.
I would have said a crazy Zappa solo, but it still worked too!
Cos we all need to remember the truth.
