As long as those are washes properly.
Also: Most of the needed minerals are in the skin -part. So it's kinda healthy as well. ^^
(Every summer, when there's these "new potatoes" those barely have skin at all and that's eatable.)
But I eat skin also from the old -ones.

https://sites.google.com/site/the99percentdeclaration/
Any thoughts or views on this?
Democracy is a messy process. I still think that the political system that the Founding Fathers created for the US is a closer step to achieving a harmonious nation.
Yes we are messed up. Yes the current bureaucracy that plagues the government at the Federal level is slowing down efficiency. But without the Check and Balances I think there would be some greater form of tyranny as previously demonstrated by King George III and his Taxing Acts.
Now then, I'm gonna read this Declaration
Okay, after reading I'll just narrow down my opinions to each of the grievances that were listed to be "heard" by the newly proclaimed "general assembly".
1) It would be ideal to take out the $$$ portion of campaigns and other political events, and as such corporations would use that opportunity to purchase "favors"; but also at the same time we are at a point in time where every move a politician makes is necessitated by a need of money. *Undecided, slightly against*
2) Most law stuff I leave untouched, as it really takes sometimes more than 10 years for a decision to actually have an effect on public life *MY OPINION*. But with this Supreme Court case, you can't argue their decision. Rather they should go about re-instigating another case to get it reviewed by the SC. *Undecided, slightly not caring*
3) Good luck fighting the bureaucracy. *My taxes probably won't go down as a result, so I don't give a f*
4) Without a consistent flow of veteran politicians reigning office, the country could be lead off the right path. When I mean right, I mean the path of least evil. *Slightly against, I agree to the current term limits set in the Constitution*
5) Yes the Tax Code is complex enough, but in the end you could save more money. But a simplified tax code makes it a more streamlined process for taxes to be collected and processed (lulz on repeated word). I'm still new-ish at paying taxes, but I haven't been too worried at this point. *Slightly against*
6) Great, now we want Socialism. I want the freedom to choose, even if that means I'll be broke or sick a little longer. Also to add to my view some countries with this single-payer healthcare system receive less than par medical attention. *Against*
7) Good luck radically stopping a lifeblood of a country since the '40s. When you invent the no-emission vehicle that is cheaper than fossil fuels. Yes I agree we need a change. But that takes time, and arm-wrangling ain't the way to go. Also we need to further test the current alternatives to make sure there are not that many LONG term effects on the environment. *Slightly agree, but with a little less intense vibe*
8) Lulz that there is no mention of raising taxes, seem's like this is a Republican declaration with Democratic vibes to "GENERAL ASSEMBLY!!". *Undecided, thinking that maybe people, not the government, should take a little more responsibility in their financial actions; and as a result should be empowered to fix their own mistakes* *BUT as we have a government that gives a rats ass about us, well they can start the process and stuff like that*
9) Really the only way we got out of the Great Depression was WW2, and I don't see anybody recommending a World War. . If we lose vibe with the rest of the world, so be it. I would be glad not to be heckled for a while for being American and "Top Dog". *Against in a manner that the grievance seems not thought-through enough, but understanding that SOMETHING should be done* *Also don't think that we should be relying on the Government to be holding on to the majority of "getting us back to work" rather we the people should be...I don't know, fly to the moon again attitude *
10) That should be renamed "Let's go on a Wall Street Witch hunt" rather than this Student Loan Forgiveness grievance. Yes a lot of students, including myself are in a little hellstorm, but hey, I'll stay in school and make myself a lot better looking (in terms of resume and diploma) rather than fighting tooth and nail for a job that really cannot hold water due to job market fears. *Against*
11) Really the DREAM Act is partially aimed at the southern border. I myself living down south see no problem giving an amnesty, but THEN having like a MILLION (not really) new citizens would REALLY crunch the local, state, and federal systems for employee benefits and rights. *Undecided, leaning towards an agreement, but at the same time thinking it needs to be thought a little better for a long-term effect*
12) Hey that's what we get for the end of the Cold War, the awesome attribute to dominate the globe at any point in time, militaristic or capitalistic. On the military side, maybe it's time for a little isolation, but I wouldn't be the first to agree to that. *Slightly against*. *Also not liking the continuation discrimination of the 1%*
13) Agree, but it shouldn't be on the government on any level to make it "mandatory". Rather it should be on the communities and neighborhoods that decide what demands to place on their children's education.
14) We as an economy moved from an industrial nation to a service-providing nation. Good luck turning us around after tasting the "good-life" of doing "nothing". *Against*
15) Globalization leads to others trying to do different ways to achieve a similar status of what the US has. In the case of China, it kept jobs flowing in from foreign countries and keep exports flowing out cheap. We end that manipulation, we cut off a GRAND number of people their livelihood of $5 a day's (exaggerated) worth of rice. *Slightly agreeing, but this should not be attributed in the manner stated in the declaration*
16) It was a bad decision to have the government meddle in bank affairs, but that bailout we did back in 2008-2009 was a necessary one to prevent further SHARP decline. Also, really the problem ain't so much in the private sector as it is now in the public sector. Maybe we need to re-focus priorities. *The theory I agree to, but in practicality it doesn't seem feasible* NEED TO LOOK AT LONG-TERM EFFECTS AND SOLUTIONS. The problem ain't today, it's tomorrow.
17) Man these people got some BEEF with the FRB. This foreclosure stuff in my opinion is a result of US (American citizens) taking larger risks than we were able to ascertain properly the consequence. We messed up, we should fix it. *Slightly more against than agreeing*
18) QQ. Tell that to Alexander Hamilton. The Articles of Confederation failed, and this grievance suggests that we revert to that state of being again. Hell no! *Against*
19) Yes now as a greater and more powerful nation we need a tighter control on how we elect our officials. BUT only having it on the popular vote leads to inefficient men like Donald Trump or Sarah Palin getting into office. *No disrespect to them, but my opinion is that they wouldn't/aren't people that would handle the office of the President effectively* *Slightly agreeing to the fact we MIGHT need a change of procedure, but definitively NOT agreeing to ONLY having it as the popular vote*
20) These people really do not wish to look at the freaking LONG TERM EFFECTS of just pulling out now without a proper Afghan government in place. We need to see this through, even if that means a couple more trillion bucks and another 5 years of combat. Look, this ain't a real war with actual defined armies here... it's a perilous baby step process to kick the enemy back over the mountain (no pun intended). Foreign Policy is a delicate matter, and should not be made with hasty decisions.
21) FINALLY THE FREAKING LAST ONE! meh give them what they want. I could care less. Doesn't affect me none. *Undecided, probably agreeing?* -

Sonic weapons, you say?
I'm planning on going to NY for #OccupyWallStreet. I was there last year during a different Opperation; there were cops brutally beating memebers just for walking down the street. I witnessed many accounts of police brutality. Other memebers have witnessed this as well. I warn anyone and everyone who plans on going to please take precaution. The authorities will stop at nothing to cease the operations.

"Stuart Fraser, policy chairman for the corporation, told Channel 4 News on Monday he was prepared to use "all legal measures" including riot police to remove them.
"Not in a sense of going in there and causing a riot. Some may resist, some may lay on the ground and have to be carried. If they start hurling bricks, that's their decision to take violence against us. We're not going to send people in and suddenly start being violent."
Some relevance.

An excerpt...
"The fashion designer Vivienne Westwood, 70, became the latest high-profile supporter to address protesters on Saturday, on the steps of St Paul's. She said that the global financial crisis was intrinsically linked to the world's ecological travails, and called for people to embrace culture as a means to help wean them "off the drug of consumerism"." -
