I found out an experiment: My house runs on AT&T and my friends house runs on Comcast. Here's the results. At noon time, both me and my friends CF spiked to over 100. Coincidence? Hell no. Different providers, same game and yet unstable ping. Guess what that means. ITS NOT THE USERS.

did the same test a while back, even talked to the AT&T tech heads, nothing is wrong with my net -

I think they are trying to fix now. My ping was 53ms to most of CF room. It jumped to 209ms last night, very stably. And the mouse and keyboard seem more sticky.
I don't know if they put auto ban on the server side. If so, the server has more burden.
I will wait to see what the new patch is. -
I dont think one mod or GM has give any thought on this thread, Honestly. I MEAN I live in OHIO right under Canada, and get lower ping in the uk than the servers in my back yard. Come on, really. And its not just me. If you think its bad isp's your wrong, i get 10 mbps download and about 1 mbps up. I dont share my bandwidth so why does my ping rise from 32 to 250 at night. FIX your ****. I have put money to enjoy this game... Fix it. OH and to any MOD who will post now cause we called you out, dont post your dumb bull**** that you love to say, if you have good information, enlighten us, if not shut up.

They dont give a darn... So go and play A.V.A. Everyone who I talked to who has played the game thinks it's good. I would try it myself but I don't have much time to do that yet... Pretty soon though.. If this keeps up, then I'm gonna just leave CF for good since I can't have the same decent ping as I always played with for over a dang year..

I've been playing since feb 2010, so a year now... i'm in wisconsin and i have always maintained a 30-50 ping rate on the main servers (80-90 which is still playable on west coast and US south server)
Since the xmas patch or so, my ping has been MUCH higher during the main time i would be playing (evening after work) During that time my ping is 230-250 and unplayable. Only around the hours of 11PM-Midnight CST does my ping drop back to my normal stable 37 ping.
Because of the high ping i have had to sit out from WOGL matches and clan wars which is insanely frustrating. I've spent a few G's on ZP but here i sit not able to play. I sure hope this issue resolves itself in the new patch -

hmmm alot of people do have this issue but not a substansial ammount for the servers to be deemed unstable.
i think really you may want to check your own connection first aswell as contacting your ISP generally people having this issue are people with horrid connections but seeing as you have had decent ping previously it may have to do with something malacious on your computer, i had the same problem with ventrillo and CF a couple of months back i did everything i could to lower it but nothing worked till i did a complete reboot of my os.
However heres a few things for you to try.
- Scaning Sytem32 Folders and local disk (use a full system scan) with your anti virus.
- Download this http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download then use this program to clean your registry and any garbage that could be on your system thats just been piling up.
- send a support ticket.
- check your internet connection at your hub.
- redownload and install CF.
- if all else fails, back up your most valued files and reboot your OS (operating system).
i do not recomend the last option unless its driving you nuts. the only reason i did it was because i play other games besides CF and use vent etc for those games.
if this doesnt work then i just wouldnt play till the next patch and see what happens GL. -
alright guys people from the EU have had the same issue turns out some peoples local servers are having hard times lately so this might be the case with your local servers to in north america, as the same time it might just be due to peak times and because of this some ISP's no matter how good they are supposed to be usually encounter problems somewhere down the line, someone would of said something you know from higher up, if there was an issue with the servers.
if there is id just support ticket it. till you get a decent response.
(clarifications - your local server connects you directly to the internet pretty much a bridge between you and your ISP if this is unstable then thats the problem, however like i said it may just be peak times.) -

like i said, you can never be sure. it can be the users end it can be the servers for the game it can be your local server in your area or certain ISP's.
thats why i put the idea forward to clean registries etc because usually 5/10 ping issues are due to the ammount of rubbish people allow to clog up there system then effecting there internet which has happened many times, i think its just a coicidence and a grouping of random ping spikes/fails. usually when there is a server issue we are all notified, so.
just trying to offer suggestions and solutions as there is a lacking of this lately, to many big boi internet trolls. -

correction and i do mean HUGE correction needed here, subagames doesnt get z8 back lololololol your question would be is subagames going to host crossfire in the immediate future? no. possibilty ? idk i dont think anyone can answer this execpt fallen angel and saidin, but i doubt they would divulge company polotics with there auidence as its on a need to no basis as it is with any client to there auidence. -
It's just completly odd though.. It's literally been happening since the x-mas patch and I don't use my PC for anything except CF. I use my parents PC for browsing and all that.. When it comes to CF I only use my PC.. I don't think it's mere coincidence of this.. I've never had this problem ever and I always keep my PC clean... For the heck of it, I even tried out M.A.T. and had my normal ping. And when I went to play on CF, my ping was over 200.. It's only happening on CF. I could play any other game and my ping would be fine.

Any case look at this. over 1000 views and 80 replies.. Not 1 reply from a staff member with vaild information as to what's going on.
yeah tbh i think its because there are that many people that complain about ping issues on forums usually 9/10 people who complain are at fault themselves and do not have decent connections your only option then would be to send a support ticket. -

it could be just the local connection from your internet bridge between you and your ISP to the game servers so its not you at fault or your ISPs or the games, theres more than likely an issue at your local server that needs sorting out. -

Not my connection... Been using the same provider for over a year and have always the same ping... Even checked with them yesterday, everything's working as it should be. -
I did... They only said that the servers aren't in range which is total bull... Can't tell me that because the servers haven't moved and neither have I.
err thats not entirely true over the last year or so i do believe they have been moved lol but not like that makes a difference at the end of the day it could be a number of things id just take a break till the next patch and see what happens.
not a huge increase for me in uk1-3 i get 50-60 when i should get 30-35 lol -
