Guide to Seeing Ghosts in Light

Wrong.
Smoke makes it so you can see a ghost.
BUT!
Smoke grenades are loud and blind you. =.=
If you need a smoke grenade to see a ghost that's moving, you need to get out of ghost mode. They're perfectly easy enough to see without the grenade AND because you are equipped with a GUN, your biggest ADVANTAGE is distance. Limiting your sight to 5 feet totally takes away that advantage. And now with the shovel that reaches hella far, you're just handicapping yourself and your team mates.
I hate smoke-naders but they usually manage to get themselves killed because I can't see them to watch their back. Smoke-naders are also usually the one reason why GR fails to camp the bomb...oh because they smoked the bomb and no one could see it was gone til they hear "Bomb planted at B-site!" -____-
edit: I suppose when I get enough time (atm getting ready to move-in at college) I'm making very detailed and specific guide to ghostmode GR-side... should involve lots of pictures and videos.

best way to play ghost mode is this.
#1. Stfu Stop shooting and be quiet.
#2. ???
#3. Kill a ghost by listening to breath
lol its the truth but I like it Clear and Quiet. -

Smoke bombs are ONLY useful if there is a really good bunny hopper. And I'm gonna go on and say that 90% of people that play GM are not "good" at it and use smoke grenades incorrectly because they read somewhere on the forums "OMG USE SMOKE NADES THEY MAKE U SEE GHOST!!!!!"
And loudness is a secondary negative, the hissing sound is enough to cover ghost breathing, and if you're trying to find an invisible ghost, that is stupid.
Needless to say flashbangs are rather stupid as well. Not only because the have only ONE useful time to use it, but also the chance that newbies will generally use it at the WRONG time, resulting in a team flash.Honestly, I don`t really think you need a guide to learn how to see ghosts in light.HappyBirthday wrote: »hey refresh
smoke grenades don't show unmoving ghosts, they have zero lightsource. They are also terrible, ruins your vision, plus long duration of gas noise drives you nuts.
nope, guess they do.. always thought weird why steam from map showed ghosts but not smoke nades -_-The sound of smoke grenades are annoying.. making it harder to hear the breath/footsteps of ghost.

Hey HappyBday xD
Wow at all of you.. if you think smoke is to loud then you seriously need help on pinpointing. and of course it makes them visable... you might not be able to see the "path infront of you but your not blind >.> it will reveal whats important (the ghosts)
And there are even more places then those lights for example~ the blue streams of light on hank' can also be broken revealing ghosts.
and every bomb site has a red beam coming from plant zone which reveals ghosts.
Seriously if i hear someone else cry "smoke nades are loud and annoying" im going to throw up.I mainly just keep it simple,
If it moves, I shoot it.
If it stops, I spray it.
If it Dies, I do a little dance.

Eh, I use smokes, but never really on a base once the bomb's planted, that just blinds you and lets the ghosts own you everytime. But, on maps like Lab, smokes can be a good way to cut off a route, say the corner from the Hallway to A site, toss a smoke in that room, and not many ghosts will ever come through that, leaving you open to guard other areas. Or, use smokes at the beginning of the rounds to shut off the middle, in case there's a few BL that can rush and bhop into GR's spawn, that usually pushes them back and gives GR enough time to spread out and get ready for them. -

it's not like you can teach people to look out for these things, they're not gonna sit by one of these objects and wait til a ghost is visible from it... -
