30sec Guide to Improve FPS (without making Vista look like poo)

This is my first guide for Crossfire which helps pull a few more FPS out of your system (Vista only). This guide is a simple tweak to the technique used in this guide:

That guide is extremely useful though it makes Vista look like Windows 98, this guide still keeps the performance but also keeps the look of Vista.

1) First go to your desktop
2) Right-click on Computer (My Computer) then select properties
3) Click Advanced system settings in the left hand sidebar
4) Press Continue when the UAC comes up
5) Click the Advanced tab
6) Under Performance click settings
7) Choose the Visual Effects tab
8) Click Custom
9) Go right down to the bottom and click only “Use visual styles on windows and buttons”. Leave the rest of the boxes blank.
