Excellent.
Can you put this up at a forum registration or a Buffer from the Z8 homepage to the Forum, so everytime a person is trying to access the forums, you need to read these terms and check to a "I agree to these terms".
Plus, will i be notified with an infraction and where can i look to see if i have any? -

That's also a good suggestion. We will look to add something like that in the coming year. -

so I'm clean? -
The new Code Of Conduct is rather ambiguous. Is an infraction point an infraction, or does a certain amount of infraction points garner 1 infraction? When your points expire, do they still count towards the ban totals (e.g. you get a point, it expires, but it was your 7th total point so you get a 1-week ban)? And what does "10 infractions total" mean as opposed to "12 infraction points"? Thanks in advance for any clarification you can provide.

Where do I see my infractions points on my account?

If you do not have an infraction, you will not see a tab. If you do, there would be a tab on your profile that says "Infraction".ImUndefined wrote: »The new Code Of Conduct is rather ambiguous. Each infraction has a set amount of points, as seen on the original first post linked in the original post of this thread. When points expire, they expire, like it is 0, but if you get 10 infractions all together, meaning we have infracted you 10 times in all, it results in a permenant ban.
10 infractions is just what it says, 10 infractions, meaning you were infracted 10 times.
The 12 points is the adding up of all points for each infraction. -

So I got no infractions?

For those using public computers, will these 'bans' affect anyone with that IP or is it merely the forum/IGN account that gets banned? also just to clarify how the system works, is it like so?
Bad Behavior -> Points -> Certain amount of points -> 1 Infraction -> too many infractions = BAN?
Is that how it works?
Now, as nice as this is, will there ever be redeeming or such? A person can change and nothing stops the power of the forums on such a strict notion to also work negatively. -
I would just like to personally thank you guys for the improvement on the game's forum. It makes the forums more enjoyable due to the fact that the trollers will most likely stop because these forum accounts are linked to their personal in-game accounts. Just again, thanks. I hope that you guys learned a bit from the past few days, and let the stress and the rage boil over.

The bans start as just to an account. If it goes out of countrol (say you get banned, then get banned on 578439 other accounts) it will go into an IP ban.
Infractions are the name of what are given.
So say I give you an infraction, it gives you a certain amount of points, points for each are listen in the main thread. A certain amount of points, which again are stated how many equals how long in the main thread, will equal a ban. BUT if we have given you 10 infractions all together, it will result in a permanent ban.
If need be, I'll set up a quick Vbulletin and give an example in a video of how they work if more people ask. -

HE LIVES!
It works like this.
Any infraction for X number of points, is still an infraction. Example:
1) User breaks a rule = 2 points, 1 infraction total.
2) User breaks another rule = 3 points, 2 infractions total.
3) User breaks another rule = 2 points, 3 infractions total.
4) At this point 7 points = One week ban. Number of infractions stays at 3 on your account.
If you manage to receive 10 infractions on your account, you deserve to get a ban. The points will disappear based on the time allotted on the Code of Conduct thread, but the infraction amount will never go away. -

So in reality, if you basically mess up 10 times for anything, your out of here. Pretty harsh. The points themselves have little effect overall, as the actual effect of what caused them to be there regardless of whether its minor or major stays forever. The points really don't mean squat as you are permanently banned for making 10 redundant or duplicate threads, before you even get a 2 week ban with no parole for getting it lifted.
As much as I like the reinforcement, it will probably result in many just not posting at all in fear of setting anything off. -
