Is there a trick to getting a permanent item from the crate?

I'm just wondering if it isn't luck, but timing to get the permanent item from the crate. The other day, I saw a player get three Desert Eagle-C from the D.E.-C Crates in roughly ten minutes...

Same here i bought the BP Mall crates and was hoping for DEC but on 2nd crate i got Conda Adv
