not the latest version of cross fire

i have been trying to log into game client all day but every time i put my password it says " this is not latest version crossfire" i uninstalled the game and cleared all old files .. downloaded a new version from website and installed it when i try to log in still the same message .. anyone know the reason or a fix to this problem?

first try a router restart ( in case your ISP deliver old version.ini , this usually solve-it )
check version.ini policy ( if you previously disable write policy, then can't be updated, so you need to allow windows to write on version.ini)
OR manual edit version.ini with correct numbers, save, then restrict windows to be able to write inside, check this topic: https://forum.z8games.com/discussion/6911339/definitive-version-ini-workaround * this solution work ONLY if all other files are corectly updated/patched
LAST if nothing work -> please send a support ticket.

adding onto what Shadow said

here's an easy fix without restarting any hardware

type cmd into your windows search bar
open command prompt

type the following commands

ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew

its jsut reset your network adapters so you don't have to walk around your house.
