Screen Resolution

My PC's screen resolution is 1600 x 900, as is CF's. However, I still continue to receive notifications that CF's screen resolution isn't the correct on and doesn't match my PC's display. Also, when I'm in a game in Crossfire, everything seems smaller and the game itself has a black bar on both sides (it doesn't fill up my entire screen)..
