CPU Usage

My computer is idling at 1-4% CPU Usage. When I open CrossFire, my CPU Usage jumps up to 80%. I have messed with all the settings I could think of. I defragged, ran anti-virus, ran ccleaner and malware bytes, shut off startup processes, uninstalled and reinstalled the game, etc... Still getting 80% CPU with only CF open.

What GHz power does your processor have? I have a relatively ancient i3@3.1GHz and with CF running and a YouTube video playing my processor is at about 40% usage.

My processor runs at 3.0 GHZ. However, I have been running and streaming CF with OBS for the last two months with no issues.

I didnt get what you want to say.

Do you want to lower your processor?
Easy , Just follow these steps:

1) Open controll panel
2) Change view mode to "category"
3) Open " Hardware and sound"
4) Power option
5) Change plan setting of your currently plan (balanced or high performance)
6) Change advanced power setting
7) Processor power management

Please follow the picture and the numbers

I need to find a way to make CrossFire not use up so much of my CPU. When I open task manager with only CF running, it's at 80%. With CF using so much of my CPU, I can't use teamspeak or stream. I have been streaming CF for two months with no issues until today...
