Trojan detected.

Today my virus software found a trojan in the crossfire download files, (its been fine for 4 weeks before this) so i deleted crossfire, uninstalled, removed the files and got rid of the Trojan, just downloaded crossfire again and installed it, only for a Trojan to be found in the exact same file, when this file is removed i cannot load game patcher as it come up with; 'failed to execute HGWV'. i recently purchased a lot of zp and now i am unable to play the game.

Please can you help me fix this?

download 'eraremover' and 'spybot search&destroy' and also run 'malwarebytes anti malware' after running all 3 scans you download ccleaner and run a registry scan. After this process you can remove them again. However, I would advise you to keep ccleaner. These are all free to download.

LOL, better Question is; Which Antivirus program detect this file as trojan? Some Antivirus engine software detect some files as Fake Virus, so relax, i dont think it's a virus, but a scan with malwarebytes and you can be relax and play.

There are two trojan generics in the patcher. You have to allow them to infect your pc for you to be able to start cf. Most crap antiviruses dont notice them but yh after accepting them to your pc you will be able to start the game again.

Please submit a ticket to technical support with a screenshot of the malicious files that were found.

This would help everyone out a lot, and we would really appreciate it.

I use malwarebytes anti malware, also use McAfee, both came up with it but i've got rid, only seems to happen if i download crossfire, don't know if its my computer or crossfire

Also i had crossfire downloaded on my laptop for 4 weeks previous to this and never once had any virus problems, that's why its a bit of a shock with it now
