Need Moderator Help

I am 67 years old and not a techie. Can't even figure out how to turn in a support ticket. I have not been able to get on the game for over a month. I keep getting some message from X-Trap about a corrupted operating system, to shut down the program and restart the system but that doesn't work. The file SYSTEM32\d3d9.dll appears to be the problem. I am running Windows 8.1 if that helps. Any advice or assistance would be most appreciated. Thanks in advance, Duke

You might need to reverse the latest Windows Update, I leave it to someone who knows to tell you how.

Uninstall Windows update KB3000850, at the moment Xtrap isn't compatible with it. I have no idea how to do it on Windows 8 but on Windows 7 you go to Control Panel, Programs, Programs and Features, View Installed Updates, then find KB3000850 and uninstall it. I think it would be under the Microsoft Windows updates, and it should've been one of the November updates.

Fixed

Dear Grunts, Thanks for the prompt and accurate replies. Removing that update corrected the problem. Just hope that somebody at either Microsoft or X-Trap figures out what the glitch is and fixes it.
