hello, i have been playing crossfire for a while now on another computer. i have just gotten a new computer and i always get this error within 5 minutes of playing the game. the error says "abnormal game client, please reinstall the game". I have reinstalled the game multiple times, and even deleted the file location, still the error persists. what should i do?

Hi, locate and delete your Xtrap folder, when you restart CrossFire, run it as admin, it will recreate the folder and download the xtrap information again. Look at your active programs and services for anything like virtual machine, FPS booster programs, daemon tools or programs like that, Xtrap tends to flag these types of programs as type of maleware or as hacking tool.

If your problem still isn't solved, you should try re-downloading Crossfire.

none of this has worked. when i deleted the folder and ran it as an admin, the message still appeared.

Yea i dont cheat, i have been a legitimate player since i have started playing. I would greatly appreciate a fix to this problem, crossfire is the only fps i play due to its classic feel to it. It would be really nice if i could find a solution.

yeah x-trap do well! ... it does what it should do. stop legits by random popups *..* hmm ... i may explain how to fix those annoying popups *..* but yeah please write a ticket about awesome anti-cheat-trayicon *..*
