Windows 8.1 sound problems

Hy all.

Im use windows 8.1 and me have some problems with sound.
In game have not sound for: walk, run, fire, granade and etc effect sound. Radio, death sound work. And in menu sounds (music, button sounds) work fine.

What is this problem, and how solve?

Does restarting Crossfire help?
I know this happens to me once in a while and I just restart.

wich soundcard? or probably mainboard chipset u use? ...
i did had this issue with a sis chipset?

do following to fix ... turn off and uninstall high definiton audio device through device manager ... reboot
and clean install ac97 realtek driver
(well just a fix for realtek sound device)
sure u need to find a driver by ur own *..* first

1. try to Re-Install the game Client and make sure you deleted every key from crossfire on Regedit.Exe

2. Watch if you need update driver's (sound driver maybe)

3. try run cf in windows xp mode.

4. if nothing worked try get windows 8.0 back (that worked for me)

I have the same problem, yes a realtek driver, but installing whatever drivers will not work.
Seems a bit stupid to go back to windows 8 from windows 8.1 just because this game is badly optimized

Windows 8.1 isn't compatible with these type of games only games in the windows store are fully compatible the rest like these games aren't since they don't support windows 8.1, Going back to windows 8 its the best solution though.
