Installation Issue

Okay, so I've previously played Crossfire many years ago, and I've never had any issues until now. I've downloaded the installer, however, when I open it, it begins to install it, and then gives me a message "We couldn't establish a connection. Could you please check your connection and try again?" I've reset my router and modem, my computer, checked my anti-virus, and tried downloading it over a couple days thinking it might be down. Nothing's worked and I'm just wondering how I might be able to fix this.
