Installation Issue

Okay, so I've previously played Crossfire many years ago, and I've never had any issues until now. I've downloaded the installer, however, when I open it, it begins to install it, and then gives me a message "We couldn't establish a connection. Could you please check your connection and try again?" I've reset my router and modem, my computer, checked my anti-virus, and tried downloading it over a couple days thinking it might be down. Nothing's worked and I'm just wondering how I might be able to fix this.

Try a complete un-installion with http://www.geekuninstaller.com/ and use this thread http://forum.z8games.com/showthread.php?t=52579. to delete other folders. Clean, Restart and Re-install !

The problem is, there is no file to uninstall. I can't install anything. That's where the error is. As for the thread you gave me, i've tried just about everything listed in order to fix the error, and nothing has worked. I'm still not sure what's wrong.
