Launcher problems

So, I hit the play button and the game doesn't open. That's pretty much it. It won't let me play it. I hit play, the game doesn't launch and then the launcher closes. Any help with this? I've uninstalled and reinstalled already, so that option is gone.

run it from 'patcher_cf.exe' inside the Crossfire folder. That's what I use. I never use the launcher. I've had issues like that with it in the past. I just use the patcher_cf.exe and set it as a shortcut on my desktop.

That doesn't work either. It just asks me to allow the program, I click yes, and nothing opens. Could this be on Z8's side or is it just me?
