CF NA needs to add ping limits

Probably because you have high fps?FrozenSyther wrote: »I still don't understand the fuss. Like I said, I used to have 230 ping constantly. Well, now I have 110, I didn't change much it just lowered as patches went by.
There is BARELY a difference my eyes can tell between 230 and 110. Only time I felt "lag" was when it was spiking..
And I never see someone with 600 ping constantly, it either dies down or they end up leaving.
Some of the players who have high ping, have low fps.
This game is based more on FPS rather than ping. -

Yes it would be unfair to low pingers.ryokashoot wrote: »Because, specially in alpha, players will put a ping limit of 100. (this is all an assumption, but knowing how how the majority of the players think on this matter, it will go like this)
In Alpha 95% of the players lag with pings upwards from 160 - 200 - 300 even up to 600.
So I'm not sure how you think most of the rooms will be set with pings 100 minus when most of the players don't have that ping.
If anything there will be more rooms created by laggers to accommodate laggers and also to accomodate their racism.ryokashoot wrote: »What about the people who have 110-130? They don't lag, it would limit their playing. The same way "low pingers" hate playing with laggers, people with those pings would hate to play against higher pings also.
If everyone can create a room or select rooms by their pings then most rooms would be "not for low pingers", your questions should be the reverse.
And to answer that question they would create a room like this:
Min ping 100 / max ping whatever they desire. -
How would it be unfair to low pingers? I still don't understand how players complain about people with high ping, when I had low ping it was so much easier to kill them, so much easier to kill everyone. If you're not able to kill them, then it's most probably not their ping.Yes it would be unfair to low pingers.

That's weird because most of the laggers only play at night.
85% of the time I play during the day, all of the rooms I play in, most players have low ping. Except for an occasional higher pinger or two, and rarely seen 200+ that's not a hacker. Take note I consider a high pinger someone who is 130+ because 120 is still low ping to me.
At least, most SnD rooms would have a low ping limit. Thus resorting to trying to look for a room that does not have such a low ping limit, or making a room yourself and waiting for someone to want to join.
Although, I don't disagree with this idea 100%, I don't support it either due to the fact that it would also worsen the crossfire community, take note this is all my opinion on the subject. -
I really do not think it is fair for the players outside of North America, or even within North America, who get higher than the ping limit that you want to set. I have friends in Australia and Europe who play this game because they want to chill with their friends and have fun playing Crossfire. They have horrible reg and get shot when, from their point of view, they should not have gotten hit. It is just as much an inconvenience for them as it is for people with low ping. This is all coming from a player with <100 ping. Think about others and the Crossfire community as a whole, and not just what would be best for you and your k/d ratio for the day.

I hope you are kidding, you must be....
I'm from the UK and have a ping roughly about 110 and I only really play NA servers because of the arabic players in UK servers, some hack, most kick and QQ.
And even though I'm from the UK and play at all hours in GMT (Morning, Afternoon, Early AM), I'm quite often the lowest pinger there with a 110 ping.
In a typical room you might see 1 low pingers or a player that has -100, also in a very odd room you might see a majority of low pingers, but to say every game room is full of them or that there is even a few in each room is a lie.
Therefore the majoritory of the game would be set with either no ping limit or high ones by the high pingers. Even a low ping might have to set no limit since he might not have anyone joining.INFINITYxWAR wrote: »I really do not think it is fair for the players outside of North America, or even within North America, who get higher than the ping limit that you want to set. Well think about it if rooms had a selectable ping limit you and you friend could make a room with a minimum of 0 ping and infinity.
And when your Aussie friends friends are alone and don't want to die unfairly "when they shouldn't have gotten hit" they could create a room with an Aussie ping as a starting point and infinity. -
You should be able to CHOOSE the ping restriction when you create a room. Like, it could have 3 options; 0~120, 100+ and All
Then low pings can choose to play with other low pings and high pings can play with other high pings or anyone can play with anyone. This would eliminate miniping kicks (vice versa)
Note: The restriction is only for JOINING the room, not playing in it. So you wont get kicked or something when you spike. -

Exactly. We all have spikes for whatever reasons so a constant monitor for people in room and booting them for momentary spikes is rather pointless.
Just need:
- Selectable ping limiting option at room creation by host.
- Ping limiting only applies at room joining & NOT in-game.
I could see myself much happier in CF with those two thing implemented. -
Our time zones are different then?I hope you are kidding, you must be....

I usually see players with 100 ping - lower.
Except during night time.
Probably you see a lot more laggers now because of the infestation of Egyptian/european players. But it's usually not like that. -

ryokashoot wrote: »Our time zones are different then?
Well where are you from? Not that it matters what time zone you are from or anyone else.
As I said I play around the clock (UK time) in Alpha.ryokashoot wrote: »I usually see players with 100 ping - lower.

I do see them too but to claim they are the majority or nearly the majority is laughable. In any room you're lucky to see at least half the room being -100.ryokashoot wrote: »Probably you see a lot more laggers now because of the infestation of Egyptian/european players. Well European players are restricted from this Version and the old ones have been dying out for some time, however ME players are slowly taking over the servers that is for sure.
Which servers do you play UK? I suppose that would explain why you see many -100. -
Just add ping limiting options when creating a room. It doesn't discriminate and it ensures quality gameplay for everyone in the room.
Maybe when people can see that they can have some quality again they will rejoin... but maybe I'm thinking too positive. -
' wrote:E[lucidator;3753253']CF with added Ping Restriction in 2 years...
"Hey why is everyone teleporting?" (Ping spikes to 1k) Kicked to the lobby... How awesome can ping restrictions be?!
(Sarcasm)
We've already discussed spiking, it wouldn't affect your average ping. -

People don't read entire threads they just read titles and think "oh im a lagger bad idea", "most of the players are laggers, there will be no players", "I might spike 1ms over the limit and would be in the lobby".
Lol. -
they dont harm any1 .
Problems with high pingers.- Other players do not reg as many bullets on them. Including air-reg.
- They teleport all over the map making it hard to hit them or know where they are.
- They complain about "mini-pingers" even when you're supposed to have "mini-ping".
- They call everyone wallers because they receive "interp" due to their high ping.
-
+1 for this subject but they just have to find a way to not harm the old high ping players ( old account brazil and so on I dnno were) also they could just not allow them to do new accounts? that would diminish hackers a lot and help with the high pings as only the ones with accounts already would stay.
-
I agree with this although it will be hard to implement.
But it wouldn't. If they can associate a weapon with EXP/GP benefits, then they are very capable of associating game options with ping.
It's just the fact that the Chinese Crossfire doesn't have the whole ping issue because if you're not actually from their country, it's difficult to enter their version due to the verification process during registration, and the fact that the Chinese language isn't even deciferable compared to other languages, so our problem is ignored as we're only a branch off the original version. -
who cares about high pingers they dont harm any1 .
vote kick abuse is the worst thing and ha.ckers as well
And if I can make a room with normal ping limits I won't have lagging morons kicking me or hacking, they are the major kickers and hackers compared to players below 100 ping.. -
Wellllllllllllllllllllll
No.
go away.
You guys always complain about high pingers, but in reality, it's 50x easier for you.
Your shots reg, you dont die after crouching behind a wall for 20 seconds, and if you mean the occasional lagger with 5000 ping, they could originally have 10 or so ping.
So no, there are people in the pacific areas who play this game..
its not that there hard to kill its because they get butthurt think every one is a cheater therefor resorting to pathetic measures
edit: theres a east coast server for who ever lives close to the pacific -
Fact is, the overall quality of gameplay for those using the ping limit option on a room creation is going to be better. The pingers could choose to play with those of equal ping and the low ping can stick with their own.
When you give people the OPTION for ping limit, it's likely only to be used by people who care about quality game play anyway. -
this think with ping limit is a thing suggested by us old players a long time ago (since 2011 or early). They will not do such a think like ping limit rooms.or an high rank server not like now staff sergeant or whatever.no interest of them on those areas from where high pingers come.they need as much as they can get players that invest in this game(u know is business). only method to get rid of hackers is to stop let them make accounts (like stop all ppl from making accounts and xtrap catch the noob hackers for at least an year).2 years ago turks (no offense intended just facts) were the most hackers.now Egyptians r the most and almost 90 % of hackers r users of new accounts.one forumer said is bad in alpha server i say NO,it is bad on all the servers except where u play in closed rooms with your clan or friends.
