CF NA needs to add ping limits

Move NA servers

I live near California and some UK players get better ping than me >:/
I'm surprised they haven't added more servers, considering the big player base right now. Not sure if it's just a trend of people, but if they were smart, they could benefit off of it. -

The game community can not recover by simply limit the ping now.
I can't remember the last time I saw anyone even under 100 ping hacking, goes to show how rare that is. -

I usually play TDM a lot, I still don't recall the last -100 pinger hacking.
What I see in tdm is always some low rank high pinging muppet "leading the room" in score.
Especially during this hack outbreak. I know low pingers do hack that is obvious I do recall seeing some in the time I've played CF (over 5 years) but in comparision to high pingers it's like 1-300. -
Here are my idea of what ping limit/restriction is. Ping limit is to block high or low ping from joining the room. The restriction takes your current ping and either allow or denied you access. Once you're in the room, you wont get kick even if your ping spike.
This allow people to play among other people with similar ping. Best of all, we don't have to deal with low rank, high ping hackers. -

I really like this suggestion. -
It really won't bring anyone back, they wouldn't know about it, and the game itself isn't anything special.Honestly though. It wouldn't take that long to develop this functionality, and it would bring old members back. High ping players have always been a problem. -

I still don't understand the fuss. Like I said, I used to have 230 ping constantly. Well, now I have 110, I didn't change much it just lowered as patches went by.
There is BARELY a difference my eyes can tell between 230 and 110. Only time I felt "lag" was when it was spiking..
And I never see someone with 600 ping constantly, it either dies down or they end up leaving. -

umm. Theres is a HUGE difference between 230 and 110. What are you on about? i would die for that ping lul? -

True.
It is stupid to call someone a racist for ping limits since the "discrimination" is based on ping and location therefore can't be racism.
Even if someone was racist and wanted a certain color of the race banned based on country how would that happen? Every race is spread throughout the world.
It's the same when you talk about religions people call you racist for "disrespecting their religion", yet there are black, white, ME, Asian - Muslims, Christians and Jews.
But you always get some moron that conflates issues. -
Technical issues have nothing to do with race...
Once again I say, all you need is a ping limit option that can be selected when creating a room. Ping limiting does NOT need to be applied across an entire server, but rather on a room to room basis as selected by the host. -

Couldn't of said it better.
It should be a choice, it hinders no one then and it couldn't possibly be considered racist or discriminatory.
Think about it: BR's and other high pingers say things "low pingers get it easy", "low pingers are noob", "low pingers should be kicked due to the unfair advantage" etc. Some might even think all low pings hack (I've seen this expressed).
The same sorts of things are thought by low pingers and that is "high pingers lag", "high pingers teleport", "high pingers tank", "high pingers hack" etc
If people could choose the min and max ping of their rooms then BR's can play in bliss with no gringos, low pingers can play in bliss without laggers and hackers.
Or you could choose no ping limit if you have friends that do lag but your a low pinger etc. -
Believe it or not, it's a lot harder for laggers to reg rather than low pingers.andrew88sw2 wrote: »I love how all the high pingers say it is easy for the lows... HOW CAN THEY KNOW???? lol
Yeah I bet lagging sucks no doubt there!!
But when some lagger is suddenly behind me knifing me its like wtf?? Or teleporting along, tanking like crazy!
For sure I have games where they just get wrecked, but more often then not I cannot reg on them worth a darn.
I used to have low ping, and it was a LOT easier to kill everyone. Now I get 120-160, constantly spiking, and it's become a lot harder to reg. If you honestly can't reg a lagger, then it's because of your fps. It can become annoying when a lagger "teleports" behind you, but the same way they do that, it takes a while for them to ACTUALLY damage you, so instead of staying still waiting to get killed, you move and kill them.
People complain about high pings, but unless you've actually had high ping you can't complain that much. -
In some sense, this would also be kind of unfair to some players.Couldn't of said it better.

Because, specially in alpha, players will put a ping limit of 100. (this is all an assumption, but knowing how how the majority of the players think on this matter, it will go like this)
What about the people who have 110-130? They don't lag, it would limit their playing. The same way "low pingers" hate playing with laggers, people with those pings would hate to play against higher pings also.
