Client Error 29_2

Ever since I patched and started playing early this morning after getting out of work, I've been getting this.

It'll happen in no particular spot, for no particular reason. I'll just be walking along and BAM! Error'd out. Is this maybe because I have the Anaconda Gold in my bag? Or is it just an issue with the client?

  • That was fixed in the last patch before this one. You have the Flash Protection version of the SFG character right? And were you playing on one of the North American servers or one of the UK servers?

Before they fixed it, with SFG-Flash on the North American servers you'd get error 29_2 about 80% of the time a smoke grenade of any color was thrown anywhere on the map. I played a little with that character today but not enough to have someone throw a smoke, my guess would be that whatever they fixed was un-fixed with this patch.
  • Please fix it.i have flash char.and get error when some one throw smoke.pls fi***x it.thanks

... Honestly I removed my 'fire in the hole' sounds for all the different types of grenades. So I don't know when someone throws a grenade. But yes I am using the Flash Protection version. Look like it's back to UNSF for a while.
  • I just played a bunch of mutation on Alpha with my SFG-Flash, people threw regular and red smoke a lot and I didn't get the error. Perhaps it only happens on certain maps now, or maybe it's only tied to blue smoke now. You should test it on different maps and servers to see what triggers it so the developers can fix it, I would do it but it hasn't happened to me so far so there's not much I can do in that regard.

I just played some Lab GM on Alpha and threw my own regular smoke a bunch of times and it never happened to me. Either it's triggered by something else now, it's happening on a different server, or it's only happening to some people.
