Yes, I did.Did you enjoy the tournament?
OCG did well with trying to make the tournament fun for everyone. I think they did a great job and I hope they will continue the drafts. How did OCG do? Did we host a good tournament?
Yes, I think many of the players will return to get another shot at winningWould you like to see another GM Tournament?
Not really. I'm not familiar with the CF streams or any of the casters, but the audio and video were not sync'd up. Also, Nonnen barely spoke, which may have been intentional or it may have not. IDKDid you enjoy the livestream throughout the weekend?
I had no issues with eitherHow was the Anticheat/ClientX was it lagging you the whole match, was it perfect?
Let us know.
Just something that bugged me is that it was supposed to be Random for the finals. If there were to be no repeats, OCG should've just picked a map. Just seems unprofessional, leaving and restarting the match over and over to get passed repeats. Also, if the two teams in the finals agreed on a map, there shouldn't be anything wrong with them playing it.What can we do better or something you would like to see?
edit: and as for Etherion breaking a rule, I think it was OCG's or the Casters fault for not seeing and addressing the problem when it happened. If that had been the case, maybe the game could've just been reset instead of taking away a round and putting Etherion's moral at a low point.
But all in all, it was a good tournament. I wasn't too upset with the outcome. I think Natt was the only one who hadn't heard of RetiredGM xD Hope to see future events from OCG in GM.
gz RetiredGM btw -

OT:
Did you enjoy the tournament?
I only enjoyed it up to the end because we didn't really get to play in the beginning.
What was your experience playing in the tournament (was it fun/bad/eh)?
I enjoyed it for the most part, starting off was a little eh. The commentators not knowing we didn't play was a little funny. I wouldn't say you guys were terribly sloppy but you guys could use some work on knowing things about your own tourney. lol
How did OCG do? Did we host a good tournament?
It has been better than most, only falling behind Talon's and the original motg.
Would you like to see another GM Tournament?
Yes.
Did you enjoy the livestream throughout the weekend?
Not really, low quality and the commentators could use some work but props to Natt for trying. Better than the rest of the ones that left him alone.
Were the prizes good/bad/awesome, etc?
Prizes = amazing. *_*
What can we do better or something you would like to see?
Be more organized and as mentioned before, please don't use random next time...
How was the Anticheat/ClientX was it lagging you the whole match, was it perfect? Let us know
I didn't hear about any problems from my team at least. Was way better than the beta.
Any other comments: Good matches guys. (: -
1) Did you enjoy the tournament?
Yes
2) What was your experience playing in the tournament (was it fun/bad/eh)?
Fun, glad to see this mode received some attention at last
3) How did OCG do? Did we host a good tournament?
Yes, really suprised to have seen so many people sign up on such a short notice
4) Would you like to see another GM Tournament?
Yes, GP only theme
5) Did you enjoy the livestream throughout the weekend?
Yes, awesome angle placements. Favorite moment when the caster on Saturday was saying "Mhmmm" at the beginning but gave up towards the end
6) Were the prizes good/bad/awesome, etc?
Awesome prizes, perhaps for a GP theme tourny introduce gold knife. Will get a lot of players and teams involved for sure
7) What can we do better or something you would like to see?
Organization. I understand it is the first tournament however its always something to work on. The confusion about playing quarter finals yesterday was exploited. Could have had a totally different outcome.
In addition, I hope there are more drafts coming. It is good to see new faces in gm.
6) How was the Anticheat/ClientX was it lagging you the whole match, was it perfect? Let us know
AC was running fine however when I logged out during break I couldn't log back in, had to try several times but managed to get in eventually. Sorry forgot to ss the error message. I deleted the AC then redownloaded and it worked afterwards. Looking forward to ClientX it looked real neat when I downloaded it a few days back.
Any other comments:
Poor sportsmanship in the finals. Everything was pretty calm up until then. Didn't expect to have read things coming from a few particularly players... -
Did you enjoy the tournament?
Yea, but a GP-based one would be better imo. What was your experience playing in the tournament (was it fun/bad/eh)?
Well...overall it was good. Coulda been better if my ping didn't screw me up at the end.How did OCG do? Did we host a good tournament?
There were a few issues like the misunderstanding at the Quarter-finals, but overall, it was good.Would you like to see another GM Tournament?
Well obviously yes, otherwise the mode will end up dying again (assuming that from now on i'll be alive).Did you enjoy the livestream throughout the weekend?
Not really. I've only watched one so far, but according to my friends that watched there's a lot of things that could be improved. Getting to know the teams that are playing would be a good start. Were the prizes good/bad/awesome, etc?
Awesome. What can we do better or something you would like to see?
Do NOT make the finals on a random map. Like people said, if both teams come to an agreement about the map, why not just let them pick it? It'd be better for the tournament itself, since there are maps that can't be played on a competitive level, like LR.How was the Anticheat/ClientX was it lagging you the whole match, was it perfect? Let us know
No complaints about it.Any other comments:
Just wish that with OCG, GM finally gets some attention. It's funny how it seems like Z8 doesn't give a damn about being responsible for what happened to GM. Of course the community has a part on it, but the mode got screwed up after their giant failure at MOTG II. They didn't just screw that, but they also screwed up Talonblaze's tournament, which was supposed to happen on March, and then they showed up with that ridiculous tournament, screwing with the entire community, making most people who came back from "retirement" leave and lots of people who were active by then leave as well, or move to SnD. I don't know if i'm glad or not that this tournament happened, cause I honestly would have loved to see them bring something up around March 2014 , 2 years later, and there wouldn't be a single team that knew how to Bhop or Pinpoint.Would've been the best comedy show ever. It's funny how this game went down. On CFLA, there's usually up to 7-8 server full every day, and about 98% of the community from there is brazilian. People from the other countries don't play there. Yet, they're able to keep it up. On the other hand, if we manage to get like 3 server full a day, it'll be too much, even though there's also the UK servers.
Honestly overall, I like playin in this server even if i'm laggy. Just wish they actually cared about it a lil bit. -
Came back to GM like 1 week before the tourny, after not playing GM since December, lol.making most people who came back from "retirement" leave and lots of people who were active by then leave as well, or move to SnD.
Was still rusty
-
It was the most fun I've ever had in CF in my 2 years.Did you enjoy the tournament?
Once again it was really fun. I feel famousWhat was your experience playing in the tournament (was it fun/bad/eh)?
You did a pretty good job imo. Just a little shaky with the rule set in that final match. How did OCG do? Did we host a good tournament?
Of course, best mode in the game definitely needs some attentionWould you like to see another GM Tournament?
Today's(sunday) Livestream was a lot better than yesterday's because the person streaming actually spectated the action instead of looking at the overview of the map.Did you enjoy the livestream throughout the weekend?
So bad, I wanted a spray but you give us ZP and perm weapons instead. Were the prizes good/bad/awesome, etc?
GP Rules like a lot of others already mentioned. Plus play the finals or even the whole tournament in a better map *cough* lab *cough*.What can we do better or something you would like to see?
Anticheat was fine, but I had really bad fps. Around 20-25 in metro against Evil Glory but there was also ts3 open which could be the problem. Ping-wise it was good. How was the Anticheat/ClientX was it lagging you the whole match, was it perfect?
Thank you for doing this tournament, I'm seeing a lot of old GMers come back that I used to watch almost 2 years back hoping I could be as good as them like JudgeSim, Dagnasty, Fer or Ozman. This really brought back a lot of core GMers and was a fun competiton.Any other comments: -
Did you enjoy the tournament?
Yes I did
What was your experience playing in the tournament (was it fun/bad/eh)?
It was fun while it lasted. I got to know my team. The Uk team played really good.
How did OCG do? Did we host a good tournament?
OCG did really good. The tournament lasted 1 weekend. Unlike my tournament that took over a month. lol
Would you like to see another GM Tournament?
I think a lot of people are waiting for a GP only GM tournament. It would be great to see one.
Did you enjoy the livestream throughout the weekend?
I watch every livestream video of the tournament. I even went back to watch the video of the games I played in.
Were the prizes good/bad/awesome, etc?
To be able to chose a permanent weapon for 1st is definitely the best prize. For a free tournament, who could say no for a chance at winning some ZP.
What can we do better or something you would like to see?
More clarification with the rules. Have a couple mods active in the lobby to answer what people needs to do because there was a lot of confusion on the first day.
EDIT: For the finals, maybe best of 3 instead of just 1 map.
How was the Anticheat/ClientX was it lagging you the whole match, was it perfect? Let us know
It worked fine for me, dunno about perfect.
Any other comments:
Not much to say here. I hope you enjoyed being part of the OCG GM Tournament as much as I did. I also hope to see more GM tournament coming up from OCG. Thanks for hosting the tournament from Snake? and clan Etherion. We really enjoyed it. -
TriumphLono wrote: »Came back to GM like 1 week before the tourny, after not playing GM since December, lol.

lol pretty sure most of us were like that. only ones that have been active on GM for awhile are me, Judge and maybe Muddled. some of the others, like Dag, started playing again like less than a week before the tournament
EDIT: Funniest thing is that people were overestimating our BL, and underestimating our GR, yet our GR didn't lose a single half. -
I'd just like to apologize for the little problem that happened between halves. I didn't really notice chat until I watched the stream just now. :S... I'm sure the others are sorry but it is only fair that all your issues are resolved before game, such as Andre's lag spikes he dealt with the problem only minutes before we started. But no hard feelings, love you compa it was a good match.
-
Too many SnD shttalkers.
Makes me feel bad.
We didn't get to play you guys. :c
They are good... Probably the most competitive GM team made. Probably not on this server but they have more experience than the rest..RickyisBoss wrote: »Apparently you can't do sht with an axe and your a pubstar, and Etherion thinks they're good. -

We feel the same, for fairness, Lab should have been the mandatory choice. As for the ruling of taking one round away from us, it came as a consolation since they (retiredGM) insisted we should be DQ'ed, sportsmanship right there.Any other comments:

Ghost Mode is unique to CF, yet they (Z8) prefer to ignore it for the most part. I still can't explain that business decision but some people should get fired.SkiCleam_Bao wrote: »some text

Most of us were rusty, including me. Z had to convince me I should get going with this tourney, because I wanted no part of it, being rusty and having moved on long time ago. At least our GR was solid, and we clutched it against Evil Glory, I take pride in that. Not pride for me solo, but pride for our team, they never gave up. The way we should all play.

We overachieved this tournament, and in my opinion, we should have caused the ultimate upset. Bad circumstances happen, but retiredGM are clearly beatable. 13-11 while our BL struggled through no Tranq strats and ping issues, our GR stepped up and could have been lopsided in other maps, Ching is the biggest joke ever.lol pretty sure most of us were like that. only ones that have been active on GM for awhile are me, Judge and maybe Muddled. some of the others, like Dag, started playing again like less than a week before the tournament

Maybe our BL lost their cool in critical moments, but I am not willing to criticize anyone, we all did what we can given some circumstances. No one saw us going into finals, let alone win it all, and we came so close. No complaints here, only praise.I'd just like to apologize for the little problem that happened between halves. Nothing against you, Alex. Your team did a nice effort to DQ us though. Still got a bad taste in my mouth because of that. We want to give GM some legitimacy, so why use cheap tactics? Again, Ching is the biggest joke ever.RickyisBoss wrote: »Apparently you can't do sht with an axe and your a pubstar, and Etherion thinks they're good.
Says no one we care about. We never claimed to be the best GM team ever and Z is probably one of the classiest GM player I've ever met. Even if he does better in a pub, your point is still moot. That's just provocative and I would expect more wits coming from a parrot anyway. -
That was mainly coming from Andre's point of view and we prepared ourselves for such a situation due to Andre having high ping naturally. We feel the same, for fairness, Lab should have been the mandatory choice. As for the ruling of taking one round away from us, it came as a consolation since they (retiredGM) insisted we should be DQ'ed, sportsmanship right there.
That's how many competitive Viets are, do anything it takes to win (coming from my vietnamese friends). I expected something from ching too just because of the little rumors I've heard about him but nevertheless he's a great team mate to play with. For the record, I did expect Ching to behave the way he did.
Most of us were too. Maybe not from Crossfire, but ghost mode. It's not that hard to relearn. Most of us were rusty, including me. Z had to convince me I should get going with this tourney, because I wanted no part of it, being rusty and having moved on long time ago.
That wasn't technically the winning score, I really don't know what was, we just played until the end. Everyone is beatable. The only time we practiced tranq was probably 5 or 10 minutes before we even started the match against you guys.. Just to look at the map.We overachieved this tournament, and in my opinion, we should have caused the ultimate upset. Bad circumstances happen, but retiredGM are clearly beatable. 13-11 while our BL struggled through no Tranq strats and ping issues, our GR stepped up and could have been lopsided in other maps
Bleh, I'm thinking less and less of you by the sentence.Ching is the biggest joke ever.
Can't you just keep quiet like the others?
False, as far as I've seen the majority predicted Etherion going to finals. I don't know what those casters were on, EG lost key players. ._.Maybe our BL lost their cool in critical moments, but I am not willing to criticize anyone, we all did what we can given some circumstances. No one saw us going into finals, let alone win it all, and we came so close. No complaints here, only praise.
You should know him better than me, he's difficult to understand. ^-^ And no we didn't try to DQ you, Ching did. Me, mawz, Bao, and Andre could've cared less if you were DQ'ed. Only Andre wanted rounds taken off and Mawz tried to agree to a reasonable and fair decision. You weren't there on Mumble but most of us did say we didn't care if it was one round, two rounds, or no rounds taken off.Nothing against you, Alex. Your team did a nice effort to DQ us though. Still got a bad taste in my mouth because of that. We want to give GM some legitimacy, so why use cheap tactics? Again, Ching is the biggest joke ever.Says no one we care about. I expected more from you. e_e I'm seeing the more younger players from your team look at this in a more optimistic view. -

To be fair SEVERAL of our most important players were not there. Of course, that's not your fault and that doesn't take away from your pride or w/e, but I'm just saying maybe if Billy or Chop had been there, we would've had a better game. Overall, we were just unprepared for most of our team not showing up, but we tried. -

Yeah, until he turns on you for no reason. He's pathetic. Most of us were too. Maybe not from Crossfire, but ghost mode. It's not that hard to relearn.
Try it for a year and even more, come back few days before the big happening and see if you get so condescendant about it.That wasn't technically the winning score, I really don't know what was, we just played until the end. Easy to claim right now, any proof? You should know him better than me, he's difficult to understand. ^-^ And no we didn't try to DQ you, Ching did. I guess that's the main difference between Etherion and retiredPanthersGM, we have no reason to excuse our clannies' comments.I expected more from you. e_e I'm seeing the more younger players from your team look at this in a more optimistic view.
Ask my team if I viewed in an optimistic view, I'm not aggravated that much by the result, just the attitude of your team that disgusted me. I respond to you because I feel compelled to do so, in fact I don't really care what you think of me, Alex. Your team won and you did good. I will limit myself to that. -
To be fair SEVERAL of our most important players were not there. I actually think our most enjoyable match came against you guys! I genuinely thought we were done, but our GR came out big. It was one game for the ages, I'm telling you.
I still remember Z whispering us, telling us we had to find some way to make it happen.
We did and it was really exciting, I don't remember being so focused for one match lol! -
Says no one we care about. We never claimed to be the best GM team ever and Z is probably one of the classiest GM player I've ever met. Even if he does better in a pub, your point is still moot. That's just provocative and I would expect more wits coming from a parrot anyway.
You don't really need to reply these kind of comments, but thanks for the praise nab

Honestly out of the tournaments i've had, this was the worst probably. Lagged hard on 3 out of 5 matches. Even on that semifinal, when i didn't lag, i wasn't able to do so much either. Our team wasn't prepared either. We couldn't practice a single time together to work on teamwork, or anything like that. Both team were pretty much on the same situation. Still, it was the best match for us in the tournament imo, and hopefully we'll meet again in another one. MAYBE in 2 years, if this game is still alive, when I MIGHT move to US, i'll be able to compete on the same level I do on CFLA.Bleh, I'm thinking less and less of you by the sentence.
Can't you just keep quiet like the others?
Trust me, he's got more than enough reason for that. -
^Yeah arguing wont change anything, but it was a good game by both teams though. I was hoping for at least 3rd placeGirls. It's over just leave it alone.
gg to evil glory especially leftsyndrome who had the team on his back throughout this tourney imo
