Cant download-virus

My antivirus says that crossfire is a trojan/malware when i try to download it. (i use kaspersky).

I also have eset on my other computer but i haven't tried downloading on that yet.

Please tell me if crossfire actually DOES have a virus or if it's my antiviruses fault.

So long you download from the official site - you should be fine.

Disable your anti-virus while downloading and installing and make exceptions for the hole crossfire folder before you enable it.

yeah but IS crossfire a virus? If not then why would my antivirus say that?
(I did download it from the official website).

I think it´s the Pando downloader in the setup file which your antivirus don´t "like".
There are different opinions about that downloader...it´s your choice if you wanna trust that one...

It's a false positive, its probably picking up one of x-traps files. I think their files are encyrpyted in ways viruses might be? That could be the only reason it was detecting a certain signature.

The game is clean though.

TY, i might use that download, but just out of curiosity could u tell me what "Pando" is exactly.

It´s some kind of P2P downloader...

What the company says:

cf is not a virus..

its addictive, yes, but not a virus...

they usually come with so called @free h4cks@ or @free zp@ tools...

Cant download-virus
