Failed to connect to server?

For 2 days, I've been getting this error. I can't play the game. This error pops up whenever i start up the game. How can I fix this?

Allow crossfire through antivirus and firewall, make sure to run as administrator, this is all explained in.

I tried all of the above, but it still shows "failed to connect to server" every time I launch it. Crossfire has been working perfectly fine a couple of days ago. I've also tried reinstalling a couple of times, but that doesn't seem to work either.

i know who some times we forget to turn off atomatic updates of some programs , so it consumes all internet speed leaving u with low internet not enough to play the game

Nothing is being updated in the background. Even so, I was able to run Crossfire perfectly fine just until recently. I don't really understand what's going on. Just when I get to the log in screen, it just states "Failed to connect to server." If I hit the "ok" button, it exits the game.

I happened to launch Crossfire this morning and it worked.
