I'm sure it will be fixed soon.

I remember this happening awhile back and it was fixed relatively quick.

I respect Saint.

You know Cross Fire is falling apart when a player like Saint is making threads like this.

Not going to bother leaving this thread open.

As part of our security upgrades we expected to see some complaints and ping changes.

The differences for most people is negligible, and it's a small price to pay to have stable servers.

For the others, we're investigating further options we can do to better the performance on our end to lower those ping differences.


But a thread like this is pointless since the people who original make these kinds of brash assumptions aren't bothering to look at the larger picture and expect only immediate results and only results which benefit them.



We should also point out that currently Toronto is under a few feet of water, and it's affecting the backbone to which our datacenter is connected to. We're investigating that one as well and have been in communication with those datacenters for the best and fasted possible resolution.

As for the server hiccup we experienced on Friday July 5th, that issue was address and has nothing to do with the increased ping people might be experiencing.

But as mentioned, whether we fix the issue or not, it still won't actually change the opinion of the original poster. So since they aren't and won't bother acknowledging that we are working on it a thread like this has served it's purpose and will be closed.
