Is it really necessary to swear?
It is however necessary to hand out an infraction for breaking the rules.
Sorry for dating myself with an old school homeboy reference. For those who can't lighten up I'll explain a little bit here.
Because of the issue yesterday where we saw some players get "reset", we needed to test some experience cases out in game and on the clan page. As a GM of the game, and yes we play every day, we needed to set my experience up to a certain point so we could test some difference scenarios.
But in doing so, obviously my clan profile is going to change here and there. I noticed that a few players had brought this up through various channels so I decided to keep things light and have a little fun.
One of the perks, or downfalls of being an administrator is that you're often a guinea pig to tests and other scenarios. This was one of those cases.
Sometimes these forums are for discussion about CrossFire in a fun way. It's nice to keep things light and entertaining, since we're talking about video games. Constant negativity and complaints get tiresome. We read them all and are doing all we can in those situations. It's unfortunate some people can't have a little fun along the way.
In any case, this particular rank isn't permanent so I won't have the privilege of this view from the top for much longer! -

Incase you didn't notice, Saidin works behind the scenes for Cross Fire. He is an employe. He has every right to set himself to whatever rank he wishes.
For years people did not know Saidins real rank was equal to SFC class 2, although it displayed master sergant last class. It wasn't a big deal then nor is it now, personally all GM's in my view should be marshall.
Yes we all know once you become a mod you get the ribbon back, people look upto mods and mods are supposed to set examples for people to follow. Its pretty logical. -
I just love the fact though that Z8 wants to have a little 'fun' but instead all it seems like is that they're beeing unserious and really don't care what's going on with the servers. What happenes when something like the website is down. I don't know if it was just me but I didn't think the ****ting SIA on the maintenence page was funny.

I do have to agree here. It's possible to be funny while still being professional which is what that wasn't. -

The whole company doesn't take a two hour break because Saidin made a thread on the forum.
And unfortunately its impossible to do something that every player on earth thinks is funny.

No, he doesn't really. They were testing the system because a lot of people got demoted yesterday. They had to make sure the issue was fixed. Therefore, you both have invalid arguments.
