My point exactly. To disprove her opinion(or rather the point of her parents), you refer to the opinion of people that are believed to be experts on the studies of the human mind and psyche.
Neither of you has actual experience in the study of homosexuality (at least I assume so), so can you really blame someone for believing in another authority than you do?

Secondly, aren't illness and disease part of nature? So if you qualify homosexuality as an illness, you are qualifying it as part of nature, not as a "wrong" configuration of the psyche.... -

What about IVF then? I'm guessing you're against IVF, because it doesn't involve sexual intercourse, it involves taking the semen and then taking the egg's and yeah, they do something, then implant the egg's back into the womb.
Which also probably leads back to you being against masturbation, because the sexual organs are for reproduction, right? Because if you masturbate then your mind is wrong, because you're thinking against nature - and therefore abusing your sexual organs to produce semen (for men) for no reason, but pleasure.
Also a lot of people these days have sexual intercourse for pleasure - not reproduction, does this prove they also have a mental illness?

First of all, I am supportive of homosexuality. But i am going to have to disagree with some of your points, Yarhh. It is true that psychologically it is not considered to be a mental disorder. However, it is still an alteration in genetics. Therefore, literally it could be considered a mutation. Not in a negative way, but in the same way some are born with blond hair, or left handed.
From a evolutionary stance, it is likely that homosexuality is intentional. For primates, like humans, it is bad if there are many males mating with females.. Would be better, if some have no interest, and can focus on either hunting or nursing the other young. This is one plausible explanation.
The man and woman being the only natural form of intercourse is flawed. Homosexuality is observed, and has been observed in animals for ever. Bringing the IVF point does not make it more natural, yarhh..

i don't get when people will understand this concept, there is very little fact in this world, you can only have a thing that supports a hypothesis and concept must be recycled until evidence does not support the hypothesis in which you modify it accordingly. yes, this pertains science, science never establishes fact, if you said this, Newton, Einstein, Mendeleev, Rutherford, etc would all be rolling in their graves... -

Illness is a part of nature which works against it. Yes, something is wrong with the config of your brain if you work against nature. Nature isn't always what you've been taught, but also how it is meant to be.
You can get pregnant without having sex, sure. Because it will avoid aids, that's a good thing. And as for masturbation you must know that you can lose semen when you pee and when you sleep. You can't stop that because it is a part of your progress which is meant to be this way.

Yeah, it is probably a mutation of whatever gene, but with IVF and other ways of pregnancy nothing through sexual intercourse, I forget the name, you can chose the colour of your child's hair, the skin colour, eye colour, etc. so if it is a mutation of a gene like that, then surely you'd be able to change it?

-Although unlike most guys I talk to, I'm attracted to girls of all races. Despite that, I'd prefer to be permanent with someone Asian first [always wanted but never been with oriental ladies], then light-skinned (not necessarily white/hispanic/black specifically, just lighter).
-I do however enjoy proportionate, curvy types, so couldn't be with someone flat-chested/bottomed forever. At least C-cup with a butt.
-Dark, multi-colored or unnatural colored (blue, green, red, etc.) hair. No fully blonde/fully brown/red head.
-Freckles are okay but I prefer no blemishes unless they're scars/tattoos. Beauty marks are attractive but no facial moles or moles on any major body part. Don't mind piercings.

-Smart but fun. Knows when to be serious but is more laid back yet still truthful and blunt but respectful. Little to no shyness. Like, about looks, it's ok, since females are females, but otherwise - have some confidence. No immature bs but still able to joke laugh and be silly.
-Faithful & not the type of girls who needs to grab and physically touch every male. I don't even regularly hug unless it's fam or someone unusual who I'm on good terms with. Hugs, pats, shoves, n handshakes are ok NOT massages, tickling, etc.
-Creative/philosophical. Needs to be able to have 'what if' discussions and be into making arts/crafts/music/some form of self expression. No boring lames.

-Is into gaming, specifically FPS/fighting competitively. Note: by 'competitive'< I don't necessarily mean competing in tournaments, just trying to play the proper way; i.e. not mashing in fighting games, not spraying or never strafing/shiftwalking or doing other common things in FPS.
-Preferably musically: mostly into metal/hardcore/screamo, etc. heavy, loud music. Another question, if you will. Would you describe the acts of deliberatly poisoning yourself or knowingly wrecking parts of your body as "going against nature"? In other words, is every person that smokes or occasionally drinks too much mentally ill according to you?Well, if reproduction and having children are only allowed for male and female partners, then IVF shouldn't be, in your mind. What you say have many flaws, when tied together.
In her defense, she only spoke of mating, not of actual reproduction or parenting. -
