Me and my GF have been going steady for over 1 year and 3 months so far. It's kinda weird but her and I had sexually relations on our first date, which surprisingly helped out our relationship. We have many things in common that I thought no girl would ever have with me. I've been known to be a "Perv" but the relationship works out since we both have high libido.
Right now we are looking at apartments or even a house. -

sub-par education in some countries. it`s a shame.
Not the country, by one of my parents.
I'm old and wise enough to have my own opinion now. But i still think it's an illness.

I still can't believe that people these days are being educated that people whom are homosexual are ill, mentally deformed, etc. it's stupid.
Nobody likes Jimmy Carr, especially after he avoided paying taxes. -
Of course it's ridicules that schools and parents are teaching this to children, but that doesn't say it's not true.
Much more examples are that kids being taught about what the right religion is. Or how the evolution theory works.
But the difference is that school's don't preach onto children about which Religion is correct, and that the theory of evolution existed, they let YOU chose to believe it. There is not enough sufficient evidence to rule either, religion or evolution out yet.
They don't enforce the facts on you, they merely present it in a way we can learn. At least in the UK they do that.
Homosexuality is no longer considered a form of mental illness by mainstream psychologists and psychiatrists.
A quick Google search brought up a lot of sources which considered this - the fact is: If somebody you love - e.g. your parents tell you at a young age something - e.g. that the kettle it hot and you'll burn yourself if you touch it. Of course you're going believe that, and think that. Until proven otherwise you'll believe that. -

I wouldn't necessarily call it stupid... If it is the general consensus in a certain country that being homosexual is a mental illness, there is a smaller chance that the kids will develop a different idea. They are confronted with pro-homosexual thoughts way less often than people in most of Europe and America. Various opinions about homosexuals are based on the culture of certain groups and are a part of their common sense. Why did I put know in italics? Because most of us don't really know anything about mental health or illness. We're all just trusting the voice of some authority, which is believed to be an expert on said subject.
So you're calling them stupid for doing the same thing you're doing. You t belief in the authority of your educators (be it teachers, parents or experts).

Neither of you has actual experience in the study of homosexuality (at least I assume so), so can you really blame someone for believing in another authority than you do?
