cba to do some real research on this right now but puberty is dependent on hormones released from fat cells.
deficiency (whether or not this requires actual fat deposits as in fatty tissue or subcutaneous fat you won't get rid of regardless is unclear), can as such halt growing (in _all_ areas).
you need food. eat food. nobody in their right mind with his or her health in mind does serious workout and diet at 13 without advice from a proper nutritionist.
also wtf? does gigantism run in your family? 5"9 at 13. i'm barely 5"9 at 22. -

you shouldn't even bother with lifting at that age tbh unless you want to compete. simple things like push-ups, pull-ups, low-weight dumbbell exercises, and cardio workouts should be enough. I'm personally about to go back to the gym and stack up on whey protein or mass gainer. my friend tried gold standard and mass gainer so far and i'm seeing pretty good results from him. I'm almost 20 though and weigh at approximately 170, 6'5" so i do need to bulk up but i wouldn't recommend doing so until you're at least like 18(i pulled this number out of my ass... lol but you get my point)

I was 135 pounds when I was 5'6 with 6% body fat (I think 2-5% are essential body fat)
If you're lifting daily, I still think you should be weighing more than that
What body muscles are you working? And are you sure you're eating properly, especially after a workout? -

You're definitely not doing it right.
i know, i'm a terrible swede
not even blond.throneofGod wrote: »bmi shows whether you're underweight, healthy, overweight or obese.
not in any way related to your health, as it'll show a bulked up short guy as obese when in reality he doesn't have an ounce of fat. -

Lifting goign trough puberty makes no difference pal.ManInMotion wrote: »5'9 at 13? Wow.
I'm about 6 foot at 19... you're probably going to grow to 6'3+ in adulthood. You shouldn't really be lifting weights at 13 either... you're still going through puberty. -

13 and lifting weights? Are you for real?
It's a simple scale which is used only to determine whether a physically inactive person is healthy or not in terms of body fat percentage. as long as the person is not doing intense body building the scale suits its' purpose -

Horrible logic. Some people bloom earlier than others, some later. -

i'm surprised he was able to hit 55kg...
Everyone in the bodybuilding world knows Bale cycled on steroids for his roles, or went on extreme cutting diets with the use of other illicit drugs (such as clenbuterol or dnp) His body and endorphin system must be seriously messed up.
