I do not think they should Ban/penalize people who swear because this is a ''T''For teen game. teens swear.. but i do agree on Penalizing people if they take the insulting to far.. for example Racism/ insulting people's religions.

I mean, everyone swears, whether it's due to rage or whatever. So no, I don't think swearing should be penalized. However, it is a good idea to penalize those who excessively insult people. Not so much swearing, but more on insulting. -

I dont think they should even be penalized if theyre being racist, bigoted, whatever. I mean Ive had so many racist comments directed at me in game lol, tbh i dont even rly mind. We do have a block function, after all. -
i agree @ qwerty
taking it too far should be penalized, but not for cussing at each other. if you can't deal with people over the internet insulting you then you should just get off.
I really think they need to start doing this ahha. -

well maybe you do not mind but other people do... -
This isn't a country/nation we're applying this situation to.
Right you are, but if you look when you download the crossfire client download, it means the game is rated teen.
"TEEN
Titles rated T (Teen) have content that may be suitable for ages 13 and older. Titles in this category may contain violence, suggestive themes, crude humor, minimal blood, simulated gambling, and/or infrequent use of strong language."
I personally think that if you cannot deal with bad language, you should not even be paying this game.
Like it or not hate/racism are part of most people's vocabulary and every person that complains about that should not even TRY to play teen rated games. -
to minimize exposure to "suggestive themes, infrequent use of strong language."
Except I don't see that as consistent with penalizing players for using "strong language." Your idea of "minimizing" is basically trimming one millimeter off of an infinitely tall hedge. Except the millimeter that you cut down suffers noticeably from it for no good reason, since the impact on the game is minimal (get it? minimal? minimize? lol). Instead, it seems to be completely arbitrarily picking and choosing a few unlucky individuals to be punished not for the greater good of the game, but for ...... for what, exactly? the sadistic pleasure of the staff at G4Box? for the looooolz?
for what? that is the question. -

So you're telling me that if I take offense to someone insulting/swearing at me ingame I cannot have the right to report that to a higher authority to punish the offender? -

The thing with that is we have people that aren't able to just brush it off, and they do have the right to be offended. It's not respectful. We do have the ability to report people for doing that though, so if they feel the need to report them, then they will. By being racist, bigoted, etc. they're penalizing themselves.
As for cursing and swearing, I really don't think they're extremely strict on that. A lot of words go uncensored except for more major ones. One reason language like that is probably blocked is because we do have a younger audience in Cross Fire and such words probably wouldn't be appropriate for them, much more we don't want anyone starting a flame war in a game. You see them all the time, you can't help but either be annoyed or sit back and enjoy some popcorn while watching the show. The rule to me seems to be there just to stop people being as disrespectful towards one another.
That's a lot of my opinions on this, so yeah.. -

Were saying grow a pair (Metaphorically) and get over it. if your Honestly that offended by it, then just leave the game.
If it's on the forums then the same calls for it: All you gotta do to leave the forums is Press your home button and forget about it. I mean honestly if your that offended then you shouldn't be playing an Online Game where trolling is always present. There's a difference between Trolling and Harassment/Bullying. Question is: Where do you draw the line.
