I've decided to give this game another try after a year off.

The amount of hackers has been reduced to a few in a server. Like always we get great content such as maps, weapons and game improvements.
Crossfire NA/UK is the best free FPS game you can play out there! -

It's a bit better. X-Trap finally pulled off their code of the year so it will be good for now. Although I do see some small cheats but nothing like before where there would always be a hack in a TDM or GM.
I say do come back and try it out. With added kill animations and weapons, it's more polished. Reg is still a little trashy and I wish I had a dot for a cross hair but other than that, I'm having fun. -
Hackers greatly decreased. We got some sweet new weapons and events have been really fun. I'd say come back.
Not true, Hackers have gone Pro. They are very good at hiding the hacks now. A lot of high rank player cheat. Still have the dumb hackers too. Over all the obvious hacks are gone, the wall shooting spawn to spawn kill. Spinning aim bot. But the hacks have improved big time. Sry to say, but i tell it like it is. Still a fun game, when you get in a legit match. -

Well hackers have increased recently... Just yesterday I did some guy 136 damage and he didn't die. The in game community feels a hell lot worse than before. But game play is still the same, not bad. And of course more content, though they aren't very good. Can't believe they removed perm axe.

Yes they did decrease, a lot. Haven't you witnessed the era of having 2-4 people per match shooting and aimbotting through the wall? No idea where were you, at least 20 threads a day were made about the situation back then. It was horrible. -

That's not a hack. You killed him once, he re-joined, you damaged him. Damages from both times add up to 136.
