What happened to the old coupon rewards?

Never say never... but its highly unlikely that they will revert back to perm weapons or cheap temp weapons that used to be there. Use the search button at the top next time there are plenty of threads already about this and you could of found your answer without a new thread.

I searched a few, but none never really answered my questions -

You don't.
Half mentally challenged apes run the show around here and the way they choose things is they have a huge target on the wall and Saidin throws his own feces at the target. Whatever it lands on is what we get.
That's how the companies for Crossfire work. -

Well of course they do. A LOT of people buy ZP crates just for the coupons. -

Kinda.
We bought ZP crates because we knew if we didn't win we at least get something.
Just the 50-60 coupon items required around a $100 investment to get.
Now with less things to get permanently most are stop buying ZP because gambling away money for the chance to win something doesn't seem worth it.
Chance to win < chance to win and guaranteed prize. -
This is a direct quote from [GM]Saidin, which should really explain everything.Having a player who has opened up enough crates to get what they want out of the coupons who then refuses to open up more crates because they have all coupon weapons is a concern. This doesn't always mean that they have to own everything, but the fact remains that there were too many permanent items available in the coupon exchange system was becoming an issue. In short, coupons were losing their value. As a result of that players complain when the system doesn't get updates. But updates doesn't mean most spots or positions or additional permanent items. Since we're dealing with a set amount of spaces for the items, we have to change some things up.

The easy and customer satisfying solution would to be to replace Perm Coupon weapons with different Perm Coupon weapons. The heavy spenders buy more again and now some things become limited edition. Light spenders still have stuff to save up and get.
By replacing them with temp stuff, they ironically made coupons less valuable (the very thing they were trying to avoid).
Heavy spenders used to perm stuff stop buying because they can't get perm stuff.
Light spenders don't spend more because the price for perm stuff isn't worth it (and the stuff for GP is just as good). -
Maybe so, but this was making permanent weapons much more available, which is not what Saidin wants. Permanent weapons should be more rare in the community, rather than something that is obtainable in a month, maybe even less.
There are currently over 35 GP Perm weapons one can buy.
If they wanted fewer perm weapons they should of started with the GP ones first.
With this method players become more satisfied with the GP guns and stop focusing on the ZP ones.
ZP weapons becoming harder to get means less people bothering to go for them.
Less people going for them means less money for Z8.
If $60 equals 1 or more ZP weapon reliably then people are more likely to go for a second or even a third weapon. $60-$120 more money spent for Z8. If $60 equals 0 ZP weapons then people are less likely to continue spending money on Z8. A loss of potential money for Z8.
I keep seeing economic and social blunders from Z8 that at this point I'm AMAZED they are still profitable company. -
I must say I've spent a little over $500, and haven't won a single permanent ZP weapon yet.
I believe a switch-off for the top coupon permanent items would be nice every couple of patches, that way we get fresh permanent weapons for the heavy coupon winners, and get the light coupon winners wanting to purchase ZP to obtain the soon to be limited edition weapon. -

Took me just under $900 before I won my first ZP gun, won a second gun 24 crates later the same day and haven't won a ZP gun since.
The coupons were a reliable way to get something for my money and thus I kept spending because of it. Got 8 Perm weapons from Coupons, once I get a Golden primary I'm done spending on Z8 do to it no longer being worth it. -

Honestly, if it weren't for BP permanent weapons, I'd be playing with an M16. Not that that's horrible, I'd just prefer to be working with a nicer gun. -

You get 165,000GP for free relatively easy with a new account.
Do the USP promotion for the USP pistol and one can afford a rifle, sniper, and another pistol of their choice and be set for the rest of their CF playing. All that for NO investment other then time. There also is another 50,000GP to get if they work for it to get another gun of there choice.
Z8's main problem:
There are very many GP weapons one can get for free that are usually just as good as many of the ZP weapons. -

Yes, but ZP weapons are much more appealing to the public eye. For example, an AWM LM compared to the original AWM. I'd prefer the LM because it looks a lot nicer, when really, it only has extra bullets, and a slightly faster reload time, nit-picky things that don't matter that much in the end. -

In the end that is what most ZP guns are.
Reskins with more ammo. A few add something like a silencer or a scope.
The base weapons which are mostly in the GP shop are usually only slightly worse due to having less ammo. The ZP weapons are nice to have but are either over priced or require lots of luck.
In short:
Would you spent $20 to get 5 weapons?
Or
Would you spent around $500 to get the same 5 weapons with slight modifications? -

What Saidin says in this is bothering me. It is showing me they wanted to get in more variety and trying to keep coupon value around. Instead of replacing permanent stuff with temporary items, they should have removed the duplicate spots and added more weapons. Instead of having 2 perm axes, they could have put in something like, let's say a 60 day katana. It adds variety and it keeps coupons in use.
But simply because they don't care one bit about the consumers, they ruin everything and claim they are doing whats right and what is more profitable. The decisions these companies are full of greed and nothing else. If they put any thought into what a consumer might want or may even react to the huge change, they could have even more profitable patches instead of patches full of crap. -

ironically, most players who have all the guns would think twice about buying zp for crates now.
Before they released new coupon & zp crate perms so player would spend for both but for players that have all the guns they want/need, buying more zp was not necessary. A sure win perm coupon gun weapon would provide more incentive to buy zp for another zp crate gun.
Now they are just relying on whatever zp crate they release.
IF it's not good, not reason to spend on it - like this last patch (Silv-sniper)
