i want to ask you if it is allowed to farm with virtual PCs `?

Yes, I think so. However, most people don't like farmers.

I'm pretty sure they have some DLL or something called WinLicense that doesn't allow crossfire to be run on a virtual pc.

Most people farming use VMware and have no problem with it.

I don't see why you would want to waste your time farming but at the end of the day it's your own time your wasting.

It's frowned upon.. And maybe one day bannable.. But for now .. No action taken against farmers

I'd see why people farmed if there were prizes for higher ranks but there aren't so just a waste of time.

last time i checked it doesn't work. you can only run one copy of CF on any machine at any time without having to change some code in the files.

You see people talk about using VMware all over this forum, there are also tutorials on how to use it for crossfire on both these forums and youtube.

and no, there is no need for HEX editors, the paths are not blocked.
