Get any gun you friggin want to use, because no one gives a damn, trust me. Don't listen to what people say. I got a M4CC but sometimes I enter the match with M16 and P228.

Power: XM8>M4 (XM8 does more damage @ the chest than the M4, but less than to the arms than the M4)
Accuracy: XM8=M4
Both T-shaped spray
XM8 has full wallbang and a scope

Though if there's no boxes/or little boxes, I'd rather use an AK.

I love how people talk about AKs when nobody even asked their oppinion about AKs anyway.

M4 seems to have a somewhat smoother recoil while XM8 has more damage, a scope and railgun abilities. I would use XM8 because it used to be my primary weapon for a long time. Well pretty much until I got M4-Custom.

Go for the m4a1
Its the standard gun with standard stats that youll want if you plan on improving.

XM8 is also good too.

I'd go for the M4A1 over the XM8 as a primary gun, though I do admire the 100% wallbang.

I've been using the M4 for longer, but it's not hard to drop 40 and 50 bombs with the xm8-adv.

XM8 better cuz of wallbang xm8 adv not as good awls normal it gp crate and triple fire rate is annoying even spring is worse Cu's spring is not wallbang

Same as M4 folk start talking about M4 even if the question was Ak47 or aug.
I dunno, I'm using XM8 as my main on CF EU so maybe its spray pattern is different there but it seems the same as AK47 only with way less recoil.

Get XM8, you can get M4 any time and if you're beginner XM8 seems as a nice starting weapon (though if you're going for competitive gaming lots of people will QQ about XM8 being OP).

Actually, the XM8 does a little more damage:
XM8 basically a AK47 with Wallbang and less recoil.

AK, k2, M4

in that order if you have skills at controlling recoil.

Xm8 is good for wallbanging.

get m4 and slowly build up to the xm8. M4 is pretty decent and good for beginners. AK has too much recoil ;o.

Not until you get used to it. There is a way to control it and its so simple yet people never wanna dedicate the time to it. I've been using the AK every since I was ranked enough to purchase it and only need one or two well place rounds to frag you. AK takes the cake hands down, but this topic is XM8 vs. M4A1 . . . on the latter, XM8 is sick. M4A1 is simply OK. XM8 has red dot that allows for better accuracy, great firing rate and high damage. haha im more skilled with a sniper than a rifle. When it comes to rifles, i cant even save my butt from getting handed to me. I guess it's just based on the person and how comfortable they are with their weapons.
