Kids want clan war, what do I say?

We have some young players in our clan. They often went to clan wars and lost. I tell them to practice in pub games more before facing the good players (sometimes cheaters). But they still want to fight clan war, because it is more exciting.
Should I let them? I want to improve our clan standing by attracting skilled players, having a bad clan war record is a minus.
Wow bro, you are really a good person. I already applied in your clan, so i hope you accept me. =D -

Yeah sure thanks for applying. I am sure you will find good people to play with
In my original post what I meant to say was, "to improve our clan standing to attract skilled players", not the other way around. -

Don't worry, i won't disappoint you. ^^ -
In our clan, we usually follow strats that are called by either the LT's or Leader or by someone that we can trust. If people don't follow strats and be stupid (ingame, harassing people, racist etc), they are kicked from the clan or we'll CW w/o them.

heres an answer KICK THEM -
You should have a word with them based on clan war & clans there out there who are legit. Also before a clan war & you know indeed the map you going to play, run some practice with the clan members only or a public channel. If with clan only make a A team & B Team. Put the best legit players against the not skilled players. We have some young players in our clan. They often went to clan wars and lost. Players will get better going against better players. Im a LT of nleashed™ & i practice with my boys, teach them & run some plays.

Well Give them a trial period ( like a week to improve like following strats, holding spots and sites, fast rotations , Calling out what they see etc... ) and if they don't improve then you have no choice but to kick them...
This is what i do with my clan anyways and it does seem to work well. -

Too young? It's not gonna make them murderers when they grow up, they play for fun. The subject is their skill level, not if they should be allowed to play this game. -

If they can't handle a rejection of not being able to take part in a CW, then I believe their maturity level is nowhere near the Teen level that this game is rated at. -
Here's what I think: try recruit more skilled players, 2-3 should be a good start. Then in cw take all skill players with you and 1-2 kids every cw by turns, if you can do this more then once everyday, kids will get more skill then average pub games, and should be fair enough for them.

Yes, very true.
I love them though. They are very loyal, very nice and polite, sometimes funny.
They are still relatively new to the game. Their hand-eye coordination isn't fully developed like a 20 some yr old.
Sometimes they ask me to play HM with them, sometimes they join the opposite team in a pub to try to beat me lol
I am thinking of creating two groups in the clan. 1 for clan war, another for fun.
I try to explain our situation when I recruit.
Wahh, I used to clutch em bad E8 players when I be 14. Now I suck.CryingMonkey wrote: »In our clan, we usually follow strats that are called by either the LT's or Leader or by someone that we can trust. Haha, fool around in clan wars. Haha.
Rawrz...
OT: I guess I understand the reason why pub clans make the rule "No CWing without a LT".
I've generally been around good players, but I know how it feels to be carrying 11 year old whiny kids. It sucks.
If it's just a handful of players that you're talking about, just train them.
But you see, there's quite a few problems with younger players. Some are:
-Rebellious
-Not smart enough
-Lack of gamesense
I understand why clans like OldLegends is successful. I was around players that can think, that can get better, and can work together (most of the time).
The age limit in clans like OL is a huge factor. Older players are better for a clan, enough said. I suggest you either:
-Train them if there's only a couple, might work if they're as adorable as you say.
-Get your friends to join (hopefully older friends) and help you out directly in clan wars.
-Get them to understand that practice helps a lot.
-Be intelligent, show them that you're more knowledgeable than they are (I used to think that I knew a lot more than the adults around me when I was in 5th grade)/Prove your authority.
-Keep them CWing, until they get better. Don't worry about the clan record until they're decent. Then make a new clan.
-Kick them.
That's about it, I'm tired. Sleepy time for Hesi. -
If you want them to get better, make private pub rooms and have the clan members face each other. Assuming they have basic problem solving skills, they should start noticing patterns in their clan mates play styles and start planing around them. Do this long enough and it becomes a lensmans-arms race of tactics, counter-tactics, counter-counter-tactics, and etc...
This allows the clan to find out what each member is good and bad at, how to work as a team, help them improve their skills in the game, and come up with many tactics and strats for CWs.
This..
If you wanna make a good team, you need to know your current strengths and weekneses.
Also its nice to see a clan still playing for fun. -
Hey I am working right now, before I reply back to each of your replies, I will just say that the clan was created specifically to be
1) inclusive of all backgrounds
2) positively influencing each other
3) creating long-term friendships
Being competitive was the farthest thing in my mind. Kicking well-behaved members will never happen.
What I have in mind is form within this clan a group of players who can play against good players.
I will try to get back to each of your replies later. -

What he said!
No fun in being destroyed by large points every CW.
You have to practice each with each other for Vatavs reasons above.
The get a pub room and you all stay on the same side in the pub and work your practiced tactis there some too. -

We don't have such rule yet. I feel it is more about team work than a supervisor.CryingMonkey wrote: »In our clan, we usually follow strats that are called by either the LT's or Leader or by someone that we can trust. No, we don't recruit bad guys.heres an answer KICK THEM
No. But sometimes they leave on their own.I agree, I hate cuss filters
We don't like cussing. -
As a clan leader, i can emphasize, as i have experienced the same issue.
You have to try and make a balance. My clan's current clan war w/l is negative right now, due to not only bad cw teams, but also CF errors.
We had 3 members not long ago, they were 3 friends, who were good rank, friendly, and very active. The problem we had with them is that they all cw'd together, and lost every single cw. They lost 15 CWs in one day. This was obviously not good for the clan, so i had to kick them, despite them being good members, and as a result i lost 6 members.
But ultimately it was better for the clan, as we are slowly improving our clan win/loss.
So you have to make a decision whether or not they are worth keeping. -

Collectively, no.
People first.
Winning second. -

Very good input. Thank you!
I do bring them to SD in pub games. When we have more active players we can practice A B teams.
